Tools needed:
Your hands two of them are useful

Estimated time:
15 minutes

Open trunk and pop off the two tabs that I have circled on the right side of the trunk:

Once you have removed the two pop screws there you will have to remove the center plastic trim. There are two plastic nuts that are located where the yellow circles are. Once you have them removed pull the bottom of the trim out to avoid catching the steal then pull straight up. You will here a popping sound your not breaking anything that is just how this part is held on.

Now you can pull the carpet back to expose the back of the tail light. You can also take the other side carpet off in a similar manor there is only one pop screw on the left side though.

Now that you can see the back of the tail light take not to the three bulb positions that I have marked in the picture below.

Image

First you want to pull the harness out from the tail light it is the main one that is located to the left of the number three. Now you want to move the number 3 harness to the number one spot. Move the number 1 harness to the number 2 spot and remove the bulb from the bulb cup. Now move the number 2 harness to the number 3 spot. At first it may seem like the bulbs will not seat in the housing just wiggle them a bit then you will be able to turn them. Repeat on the other side and you are done.
