just wondered. do you need a seperate bung for the wideband or can you replace the stock o2 sensor with the wideband?

This depends on what your using to tune your car. If your ECU is able to read the +5 v signal that a wideband needs you can just use that. However if your using a stock ECU you most likely will need both.

With my Mircotech unit I run both but didn't need to since the ECU doesn't really even use anything off the standard o2 sensor.... everything is tuned through the wideband for me.

car is currently tuned on hondata s300. so i would assume it can safely run off the wideband sensor.

i have chrome. but im pretty sure even with hondata you still can

check with the person who will be turning your car.

again ill boast about evans tuning:)... evans-tuning.com has a good tuning tutorial.. i have a wideband bung on my test pipe but it has a stock o2 sensor in it.. dont ask.. long story.. basically i dont have my wideband anymore because we tuned my in michigan when i got it.. bought the car.. took it to a friends who had the supercharger kit and installed it in 3 hours had it in the dyno in 4 hours and then was on the road driving back home after that... but i never got another wideband:(

most widebands have a narrowband output wire! ahh DUHHHH
