Dave is having trouble with the guy that owns the plaza that NTB is in, I was in there today and the manager told me all about it. I guess they are unhappy with the negative publicity the "meet" is bringing them.So he said the meet is cancelled for the time being. I was told that the cops will be there to remove anyone who is in the parking lot after business hours, so I guess dont go.

I will agree that posting saying the event is officially cancelled is a little far, but that was in response to one of the admins dicking with his profile from what he has told me.

dna was actually fun this weekend.

For as much shit that was given on both ends; I think it was Bill's dissappointment with the event. He's actually showed at most all of the early events this year as I got a phone call consistantly EVERY saturday asking if I was going out and he'd tell me what was there. I made it out only a few times, and like I had addressed before; there was no consistancy so actual nice cars failed to return.

It's fucking like 30 min to get to DNA where we live; drive a geared stroker mustang out to boardman for a lot full of rice and gayness *which was ALL that was there the last I attended...where I could hear faint jabs at 'oh look at the badass mustangs (sarcastically) coming from the section of glowing 18sec fart machines*. It was not a car event. It was not policed. We had retards flying through the parking lots, trying to 'show off' by barely being able to squeal a tire leaving and tearing ass down the road in packs. IT was fucking nonsense.

Why the fuck should anyone who wants to go to a half decent event want to show. He got sick of it. Period. If glowing shit, acting like a 16yr old retard and going slow is your thing; then maybe this is for you. At least it was cool when it was informal at the Wal Mart saturdays.

That combined with the 'stir the pot' attitude got him banned. Banned or driven away just like anyone worth talking to or interesting on here. It was fun to read Gary's posts when he'd start shit just cause. Look where that went. Weaksauce people with weaksauce cars get butthurt and no one can ever back their shit up; people get pissy and people get bant. Dave's had a hardon since he lost to a stockish WRX and got pissy over it when Bill poked fun. Try sorting your shit and not acting like a little kid. I'll be the first to man up and take my losses and if my shit isn't right then I need to fix shit. Been there and done that shit.

Who the fuck is making it better? Was there effort? Superfly WAS AND IS ORGANIZED AND RUN LIKE AN EVENT backed by a REAL COMMUNITY. He's poking fun at the utter rediculousness of it as the people who preach it up, don't show. Are there even 3 actually sweet cars that show up EVERY week? Do they pass out a flyer and thank the person for showing up? Do they make sure the riff raf is to a minimum.

We gave it a name, made a shitty fucking myspace with ZERO pictures of ANY DNA event and then don't head out or even try to greet people. That's fine; but if I am the person showing up for the first time, why am I having to introduce myself. I for one do not have the interest nor time nor freedom to actually do this. I am going to name nightly 'events' for the CVS/taco crowd in niles, the best buy crowd, the boadman crowd at taco/shops....and it will be just as offically nothing. actually.. i am the one that does go and talk to people when they come.. you can even ask itsjoker... every week people show up and will stand there and no one will acknowledg them but i always go over and say hi.. just that the people that are running the event.. i mean created* it arent dont mean others arent. so YES YES YES..

Ok, here is the 'event', as i guess you could call it, in a nutshell.

I think everyone is looking into it to much... First problem we saw was that people wanted to hang out, but eventually got kicked out of where ever they went.

I have connections with NTB, so I hooked it up so that we could get some trash cans (where ever they went) out there, some roped off section of their parking lot just for us, and the lights turned on in the evening....just so we had a place to go.

As far as calling it an organized event...im not sure so, its more of a time and place to meet...with a name. The start of a regular meet...yes, anything more...probably not.

If it is to be anything more than that, then yes...it needs to be organized and 'ran'. Take it as you'd like, but for what it is, its here and we have somewhere to go. If next year we want to take it seriously, then that is do-able - but it will take a little effort from the organizers and people that want to be a part of it.

From Tom's point of view...I can agree about not wanting to drive far for this...at least not in its current state...but for local's to hang out on Saturday night, I'd say its worth it.

Tom, as with Aaron I can see where you are coming from with not wanting to drive that far and thats perfectly fine. But just by that statement of not knowing pictures were up to me says you haven't been paying attention to the "event;" if you look at the one comment on the last picture it was on August 5th, they've been up for almost a month now. I'm not saying that everyone should be checking the myspace or anything everyday because I know I don't either, but for all the bad that everyone is talking about DNA not that many people are really trying to help the cause at the same time. I don't know what goes on for the first hour or so of dna because i'm almost always at work, but when im there from 9ish till when people start to leave or it gets cold its usually the same group of people. Maybe if everyone who is actually somewhat active on the forum showed up there would be a better turn out and then more people driving around would pull in, but what do I know. I usually don't take part in these type of threads b/c I don't see the point in stirring shit up, but I guess i'm just tired of reading about people bitching about dna who have only made it out a few times. If your there every week and are tired of seeing the same cars and people then sure, rant on, if not ,IMHO you have no room to talk. For awhile Bill was coming alot so i'll give him that.

I forget who said it before, but dna hasn't been the same since supernats. It was going good up till then, but I think between missing that week and the general shitty weather that was this summer, it has just been a downward spiral. For the rest of this year, yea I think it is kind of a lost cause to revive it since its only getting colder and less people will be out in general. When it was going strong at the begining I think one of the things that made it at least look more like an event was when dave put the crux banner up and aarons trailer was right next to it. If someone is driving by and sees that I think they would be more apt to pull in and see whats going on vs. a bunch of random cars in a parking lot. Maybe if another sign was made that said "DNA car show 7-midnight" or something and was put at the entrance to NTB it would also help. I really don't know, just throwing ideas out there.

Tom, I don't know you in person and have NOTHING against you, you just happened to be the person talking alot in this thread lol. No hard feelings here. Hopefully one day if your out i'll get to see your mustang in person.

It's cool. I'm just trying to play devils advocate as Bill no longer can post here. You're right I haven't been to enough and no I don't check myspace constantly; I'm just trying to elaborate a little on the situation from another's perspective. If I was in your guy's situation and this was 5 min away, I don't think I'd give so much a shit; but if kids have and are trying to come from further away you will definately not see them back if not run a little better, that's all.
