I deal with one guy & one guy only that works at sears in niles.
He's been there for years and understands how serious i am with my car, he's done my alignment every year for the last 3 years and i trust him to load my car onto the rack ( i remind him each year that my clutch is a little intense, so that he's ready for it's harsh engagement). They let me drive the car into the shop and observe the entire process while i'm there.
They are required to test drive the car after the alignment (he treats the car right & does not enter boost and actually doesn't drive the car out of my sight, he stays in the mall parking lot which is not their normal route).
I do all of my own work and i don't let anyone touch that thing, I don't have my own alignment rack so i'm forced to have this one thing done and thats the only place i will go because of past experience with him.
If the guy that has done it in the past isn't there the day i go. I get his schedule and come back when he is there.
I also take my front bumper off when i go.

How are they with negative camber? Can they even keep it? I basically need negative camber up front in order not to rub on my fenders. My rear is what the problem is.

Sears does my stuff too. They respect the fact i'm really anal about the car, they let me drive the car onto the rack and stand back there while they do everything. And yes they can do camber cory, i took it there when i had the camber plates and bolts installed, they tweaked everything the way i wanted it and showed me all the readouts![]()
highly reccomended

They set my 240sx with all of the after market suspension pieces on it, and put it exactly at the specs I wanted, you can stand right next to them while they do it - they can even give you a print out what \the specs the machine set it to.
John Scarbino is the man to talk to there, he will stand behind any of the work the guys in the back do. I can probably get you a good discount if you are interested.
DSMu4ia wrote:I corner weighted my car myself and went to Firestone in Liberty.
I told them what specs I wanted, and that I needed to see them on the readout.
Also recommend sitting in your car when they do the alignment. Same with corner weighting.
Get a good alignment spec sheet for what you want to do with the car, I've seen cars pick up 3-4mph from a good alignment to a GREAT one.
Rb25Cory wrote:Spec sheet? Where do you obtain one of those? I've NEVER gotten any of my cars aligned in the 4 years I've been driving.
Rb25Cory wrote:I know Tony recommended Sears, whom I talked to and the guy didn't make me feel all to confident about their ability to setup a lowered car. He told me "what ever the factory specs on the car are" is what they go by... I cant see it being anywhere close to factory specs...
