they don't look bad, im not a huge fan of black wheels with chrome rivets or whatever though.

Eh the black wheels do look okay. But thats as far as i would go.

give up? um im back into riding bmx. im not into racing cars and i pretty much never was.. i just want a nice clean looking car and i dont like the stock rims. i mean i cant just ''give up'' on a car when i cant afford a different one and theres nothing even wrong with mine. and i hate those rivets. id have them painted or something black. the only thing i want done to my car is rims>tint>system>bike rack. all i want is a simple opinion. jeez

and as for being a "grand am/give up", its his car, he can do what he wants, hes young im sure it isn't gonna b his only car n life....i owned a grand am b4. i got my use out of it, learned alot, sold it and moved on...

its a car. get over it. . i created this thread to get feedback both positive and negative. nick commented on my car. not me. he didnt act immature saying grand ams are gay. im not mad. i dont give a shit about how fast none of your cars can go. i met dave and noah, thought their cars were cool, and hung out with them a few times having decent conversations and such just trying to have fun. i never knew shit about cars when i got it. i figured maybe id sign up on here, meet more of you, and get to learn about cars. it resulted in my car is gay because its not fast. in the meantime, id like to make what i currently drive a bit nice. not by putting body kits and shit on it. if its that big of a deal, why do you even drive a car? i dont even want this to turn into an arguement but yet ill be accused of it when your the one calling me gay and shit.

i thought it was all about looks. because you guys bashed on my car, i kept it all stock, did a few little things, and i like it the way it is. id do a trans swap and add a turbo but then again, you guys made me realize its just a grand am and its not worth it and because of that im saving up. when i find a car i like (preferrably a Z) il buy one and use the knowledge to build it up. id rather this not turn into an arguement like all of bretts threads do lol.

theres no doubt u've atleast learned alot, where brett on the other hand just continues to think hes the shit and knows everything about everything.

nothing wrong with just getting some nice wheels and a system, just don't do anything crazy where your gonna be sinking money into something that wont be worth anything down the road.

this year is gonna be a fun one.

People are mean because its a fucking grand am. You couldn't possibly waste more money putting shit on it. Leave it stock and drive it.

You can learn plenty on it w/o modifying it.

My first 240 I had for 3 years I left completely bone stock, I learned PLENTY! I did my own brakes, oil changes, timing chain, water pump, oil pan gasket, spark plugs, clutch, alternator, misc fluid changes, solved wiring issues ect ect... I learned SOOO fucking much doing it on my own. I didn't add a single performance part to the damn thing. I built my current 240 1.5 years after I bought my original 240. I researched, I already had experience with working on cars from just fixing my daily with STOCK parts. I got my rb25 together with really no issues and had a blast after that.

Getting window tint, and adding wheels will teach you nothing.

My advice is learn basic car care, and how to maintain your grand am. Save your pennies and buy something that will actually be worth modding. A grand am simply is not worth your time.
