Yes and Yes.

I even have a light weight camera man that I'll handicap myself with and let him ride in my car. :)

Ninja edit due to Cory's above post.

Bikes don't hold up nicely much after 100mph, so I have no real interest of racing them.

When both cars are finished and running, we can set it up then. It's all bench racing until then.

I shouldn't have any problem with power OR gearing.

You can see top speed per gear on my car, based on a 9500rpm rev limit and 24.5" or 26" tall tire. 60-180mph will only require one shift. Yeehaw.

CBR1000RR ('06) 6/06 9.898 @ 146.47 2.76 2.58 n/a

146.47 in the quarter, ive read somewhere it gets to top speed (186mph) in 12.2 seconds
(ya know longer than it takes you to get to 108 or how ever fast in your pos takes to get down the quarter in 12.99 seconds)

edit: heres the video of it doing 299kmh in 12 seconds (does this seem like 2 days to get there??? hahahahhaha)

and if you were talking about my t/a its prob faster than my bike at this point... yo!

here's 0-90 in 5 seconds

I had DSM's before John had DSM's. I have timeslips I pulled out from the late 90's running 12's in some of my other DSM's, and mid 300whp dyno graph from my car posted here from April of 2001.

John has helped me a bit on this car, mostly trying to mallet the head over $400 250,000psi A1 Headstuds. It should be worth it when the head doesn't lift off the block at 30psi+ because the ARP's stretch.

Me and John go way back, we used to race RC cars together in the mid 90's.

And yes, you have heard about my car before I registered on here, you sent me a message on myspace a few months ago asking about it. LOL.

John drove my car a few years ago with a terrible tune in it after I popped a HG (BUSCHUR SUCKS) but was on street tires, 18psi, pump gas, and I believe his quote was "this is the fastest car I've ever been in"

Not bragging or anything, but John has built and driven a few well setup cars in his day.

Sounds about right. 4500rpm is the sweet spot to hit at in my car. Do you think I have a race car or something? ;)

Starting a little lower than peak tq will prevent the tires from suffering too much.

4200rpm + brake boost = 15-20psi of boost easily.

It runs now. How quickly you forget the 2step video. ;)

I'm trying to get the car down to Maryland to get tuned all the way, I don't have the balls to go for kill mode by myself.

The problem is, I'm not a car guy really. The car is the last thing I make time for. My social life, getting laid, whatever u want to call it, takes precedent.

I have a two week trip to Florida for Spring Break planned in a few weeks, and I need to really make sure the car runs perfect before I tow it 6 hours away. I certainly don't want to have some stupid problems on the dyno. So I'm going to try to get it down there before vacation, if not, definately after.

Once it's "done", video and numbers will be posted.

I'm just a little confussed by all this. You have been into DSM's for so long you say you were first to have fast DSM's compared to JRod well in all my time driving around here, Akron, Kent, Columbus, Pitts, Cleveland. I have never seen any fast DSM's that are really memerably fast other than JRod, Dan Killa, Justin (red 98 GSX) Bushur in the recent years, a guy by the name of Bob with Evo's and another guy with a VR4 galant (black, fully gutted) with party plates.

I'm not talking Myspace either I mean in real life, through all the street racing in all the towns WHERE YA BEEN...! What events have you placed at.....ya got sponsors for a reason, what shows have you been to?

DO you have ANY videos of past fast DSM's that you have owned?

I'm truely not attempting to be a dick, I actually look foward to seeing your car in person, alot of impressive work on it. I would just figure I would have seen ya, seen the car or met ya in the past being this town and all the street racing.

So just because you don't see me hanging out in a Taco Bell parking lot late at night, does that mean I don't exist? ;)

I haven't street raced much, most of it happens on the weekends and fortunately/unfortunately, I'm not around. I'm out partying or doing something else. I've been down to the Salt Spring location many of times with Jrod and Justin. I actually used to tune my 2g on that street before they made the other entrance off of Salt Springs if that gives you a good idea of a time line. Back when you had to drive through the steel mill access roads from 422.

There are many more fast DSM's around than what you've mentioned, I remember Richard Cumo running mid 12.50's at 104mph (driving!) on a 2g AWD with a 16g back in 1999 or 2000. Back before there was any or much of import or DSM scene around here. You have JDOG running his Conquest, and you have Curt Brown coming up from Pittsburgh to Quaker running 9's in his EVO, 9's in his 1g, 9's on his ZX-10. You have Andrew from TPG tuning coming to Quaker with his black 2g AWD car running low 9's and running out of fuel.

Like I said in another post, my life doesn't revolve around cars. So more often than not, the car takes a back burner. I don't go "cruising" and I don't hang out in parking lots. I go to events. My first DSM shootout was 1997 when I bought my first DSM. I've went to everyone since then. My car did not run at this past one, but if you went to the Magnus Motorsports tent you could have seen me crew chiefing for Marco and his Blue 8-second methanol powered 2g. I've been every Subaru vs. Mitsu event Buschur has held. I've been to every Summit Import that's been held at Norwalk. I've been do the NDRA world finals the last two times they've been held at Norwalk.

I should be asking you guys where YOU have been. :)

Usually, I don't see ANY locals at the big events. They just hang out and cruise around Boardman. The exceptions are Justin, Drew, Shawn, Jrod in the example that they actually GO to the track.

Did a quick little search, just for shits and giggles. Here are my join dates on more popular forums.

DSMtuners - June 2002.
DSMtalk - January 2001.
NABR - June 2001.
Supraforums (Where Cory told me about these forums) - May 2001.

Back before these forums, we had mailing lists and stuff. Talon Digest, ClevelandDSM, etc. That's like 7 years of forums right there..

I have sponsors because I've been in the game for a long time, and I can consider myself VERY GOOD friends with 90% of DSM vendors.

ALSO..

I'm DEFINATELY not saying I have the fastest car around, or the fastest DSM, or that I've been fast before Jrod or anyone else. I simply joined the forum, and gave some background information.

Just for one more tidbit, I've owned my website (use it to host pictures and stuff) for over 5 years, so I have a good idea of when I've done certain things based on time stamps and exif data of pictures.

Here's the first motor build I did for my white 2g, back in April of 2004.

He is right, hes been on Supraforums since it came about back in 01, I didn't Join most car sites until 04-05, Mainly because I was only 15-16 years old and didn't even have a car lmao.

No need to call him out on who he is, I see no reason for him to lie, or what it matters. He has a very nice car, with big $$$$ parts strapped to it. Thats all I need to see.

Oh and one more thing LSXhilarating,

I believe you know Jason Ventresco, I'm good friends with him. He can fill you in on how long he's known me and how he's helped me over the years with tranny swaps and motor drops.

I met him off the old NorthEast Autosport forums (whatever that ricer shop was called when it was in front of the mall), back many many years ago.

Ah ok, figured he'd be rocking an EVO by now lol.

I'm not sure the whole deal about who was first and who wasn't around here.... to think I got ANY inspiration of any local cars is a joke, as our local car scene is a joke compared with that of other cities. Pretty much all of the actual fast cars I never even saw while growing up. Unfortunately the majority of our "Scene" is packed full of rice.....

Aside from one night when I just turned 16 and was introduced to Salt Springs.... Inspiration for me was luckily finding good forums, with knowledgeable people who built clean, and sick cars. W/O them as I was growing up who knows what I'd be currently driving. lol

Needless to say its nice to be getting members on here who are more knowledgeable and own very nice cars as well.

DSMu4ia..

I think I've seen your car driving around Boardman a couple of times, because I remember seeing the back of that car before parked somewhere, just don't recognize the plate.. Don't you have grayish-flat black wheels on it?

I just haven't ever seen it at a DSM/import event, because I don't go to those.. for obvious reasons. No offense... :)

The shop you speak of that was on 224 (before it was called NEAS) was Speed People. Yes, it was a die-hard ricer shop back then ('01-'02) because that's all that was around (for the majority), save for a few f-body guys.. The guys that run/own NEAS now are pretty cool. They give my club discounts for shit.

I know a lot of the people you've mentioned too. JRod, Justin, Vantresco, etc. Just never heard them mention a kid named Tony with a white Ecilpse. No one's calling bs on you or your cars existance, just trying to figure out who you are.. How old are you anyway? I'm willing to guess you're about my age since you say you've been driving since '97, (I'll be 28 soon) I've been hanging around since early '02, and I've never heard anyone ever mention you.

Ahh yes, how could I forget Speed People. My brain was drawing a blank for their name. They sold more wings I think than any shop in history, LOL.

Oh, I'm not trying to start anything or get offended, I just like to provide truthful facts. I'm not an e-thug or anything.

I'm 27. Live in McDonald. Getting my shit situated to move to Cleveland in about two months though. I lived in Boardman the last two years or so (off of Glenwood), but never had the car out that way much (car stayed in McDonald).

Old plates used to be "MORE PSI" and "GMI FAST". I try to switch em up every few years.

I've had probably 4-5 sets of wheels on the car over the years. Here's how she sits in street form now..

I've met you before actually a few setups back, you had it up to Advance Auto on belmont when my laser was stockish.

Definately THE cleanest 2g I've ever seen, alot of $ in all the right places. I guess I still am jealous of it

It's one of the few car's I've seen done the right way. I've met john and justin before; I guess I have my opinions of both. The both went pretty fast. John was always nice to speak with, although I've seen a few of his old cars that seem a little 'thrown together'. Cool guy though.

Both times I met Justin he was very, very cocky. I lost respect for him when he decided to go street tune a friends GST by just screwing with the AFC and no logger

Guess what went *pop* that night

Oh well, live and learn. This thread makes me miss mine a ton.
It whistles while it WORKS.

I suck.

I know a lot of the people you've mentioned too. JRod, Justin, Vantresco, etc. Just never heard them mention a kid named Tony with a white Ecilpse
