made 296/315 at the wheels at Powerhouse...stockers throw 160 there  Should be solid 12s on the motor. Spray?

I'm still obsessed with that laser! I'm honestly thinking of selling my 2g for a laser, they are so badass!

I'd really like to know how you made the 5 liter go fast, my cousin has one, we just did a 5 speed swap over summer hoping for a gain, and got nothing. It is an absolute dog. Its a 95 as well. His best to date is like 16.5 @ 87 or so. Cant cut anything better than a 2.2 60ft.

Hes got air intake, headers, full exhaust, new plugs, wires, FRP. Is yours built?

Dead ass stock I went 14.9 @ 90. That was with a K&N, and like 13 degrees initial timing. 2.2 60'

They aren't that bad, they just need to be setup proper, and the stock PCM can give you fits. Still, thats REAALLLY REALLLLY bad. Like broken bad. Perhaps he has an intake leak? Can you give me more details?

My car is stock block, stock reciprocating assembly.

On a fox with shortys, 3 chambers, and a K&N + 14 degrees initial I've had my bro's fox going 14.3 @ 97....nothing crazy, but not bad at all.

I just wish I had more than 302 ci to work with.

Maybe it is a timing issue, thats one thing he has never tried, so you were 13 degrees BTDC at idle?

No he can drive it Dave its just a dog right now.

Oooo, is he running the 5spd processor? If not it's gonna be all boogered up with timing/fuel tables.

Yeah, but you have to pull the spout connector to set the idle correctly, otherwise it'll just compensate. Start at like 10-11 and work up. If you hear it rattle, back it off a degree or two. The internal advance weights in the dizzy can go like 5 or 13 before the ecm starts running timing tables. You can flip them if you want to try for more. It's prolly fine though.

I'd just make sure it has the proper computer and then the basics. No reason that car should be that much of a pig.
