Take back the keys!

Well Hille and I went AutoXing today. My first time ever, I brought the rex he took the 914. It was an awesome day. We get 8 laps total for the day, 2 sets of 4. There are two groups, X-Class cars (non-Porsche) and Porsche.

Our first set of 4 was wet, but still fun. My heart was pounding though my chest and my stomach was in knots the whole time! Adrenaline FTW! My times increased with every lap as I learned my car more and the track line.

Next session I got even better since it was dry and I was really getting the feel of it. I was booking around the circuit. Hille was tearing it up as well! Little 914 was getting wild, he ended up placing 3rd at the event in the Porsche class, little 17 year old beating on old timers some even instructors!

Heres some pics of the fun. (I didnt get any X-class cars since thats when I was driving)






An awesomely setup WRX, guy was a cool old man instructor. 4 Pot wilwoods all around, suspension and sway bars. Oh VERY sticky tires. He won our class, I was 4 seconds off his time.




This RS sounded tits, very fine example, and very nice. Female driver to boot.

Hartville Kitchen in Hartville Ohio(by kent/akron area), the Easter Buckeye Region hosts it. Its a Porsche club. $20 dollars for a solid day of fun.

The next one is on August 24th, registration starts at 12:00 and the event starts at 1:00 pm. Hope to see some of you guys there, you won't regret it.

I think I could do this too. It's a Sunday, and Sundays are my only day off! Should be able to do it. Now I'd just have to decide what car to take. Might be able to get a friend or two to go.

Well I guess that's not happening then. Didn't realize it. I'll try to make your show then. There's too much stuff to do all summer and they're always on the same days. It happens. I really would like to get in at least ONE autox this summer.
