I need to get out there next NASA event, looks like an awesome course.

You almost caught back up to that STI at the end, you were catching him through the twisties, nicely done.

Glad to see you got the video to upload, sorry I couldn't drop off the cable.

Gary take your T/A out there, Id bet $100 that Hillie's' time would be better than yours....

Yes that is an actual bet as well, and I'm throwing money down on it thats how confident I am.

The camera mount doesn't do any justice...you have to be driving to get the idea. It looks a lot slower on the camera, the back straight thats hitting about 135. There's a guy in group 3 with a formula firebird I think and he is really fast...probably has a bit of suspension work done but yeah I'm sure your car would be a lot of fun. Just get some really good tires...kumho victoracers are pretty sticky

Um no, actually there's not even a steering rack, much less a steering wheel. It only goes straight..

imo the trans am wouldn't be a good car at all to start with....too much power you wouldn't learn anything at all

After tossing the 17x9.5s and 17x11s on my T/A I'm gonna have to disagree. My T/A is now WAY more glued in the corners than my DSM and I'm not only on stock suspension, but blown ass shocks. I would see the brakes (only on mine since it's an LT1 with tiny ass crap) being the largest hinderence.

A set of Strano's, sways, SFCs and shocks take these cars FAR.

As for the vid, I don't think I've ever seen the camera do anything much justice for actually capturing the sensation of speed. I have a vid of us taking the Noble around the ledges, and only on the front straight at 140 it seemed fast.

It's more of an experience. And yes, after 25+ min of that, shit IS grueling. Tires and brake pads = bye bye
It whistles while it WORKS.

I suck.

Tom, I don't think Hillie meant in the handling department.... He meant in the power department with Gary coming out of corners on the throttle with as much torque, and power that he is making...

The only things that are still stock on my suspension (as of right now) is the K-member and the front upper and lower a-arms. Everything else is done. My wheels are 17.9.5" (front) 17x11 in the rear.(the same ones I've had for 4 years) I don't think I'll have too much difficulty..
