Weighted Leather Shift Knob... any ideas?

Postby Rb25Cory » Mon Mar 24, 2008 9:47 pm

Okay well one of the LAST items I "need" for my 240 is a fucking shift knob, no I dont have one, besides a pep girls allen key one which is a POS that I don't want.

I want a weighted screw in one. Thread is 10x1.25mm. Now it needs to be leather/fabric covering. I hate the feel of cold metal shift knobs... otherwise I'd buy the Greddy unit.

I'm looking for the knob to be around a pound an covered in a fabric with my thread size, anyone know of a company who makes them?... I'm having issues finding a leatherish one. I know I have seen them before just cant retrace where it was.

thanks.

They counter-weighted like a pound or so, smoother shifts, feel a lot nicer than a light knob.

Doesn't Momo make a bunch of really nice leather ones?

The Greddy ones are counter weighted, but they aren't the nice leather.

I'd get that momo one.

I was too lol, I was even finding old threads on random forums of people looking for the same thing I was with no luck.I thank the NICO club community for the find!

I hear so many people who hate the metal shift knobs, its either too damn hott, or fawking freezing to the hand. Theres no need for fancy knobs in my car.

Momo's stuff is shit at least what came stock in the subaru wore out to hell I have a Kartboy knob on mine now which is noticeable heavier then stock, it is not a "weighted knob" though.

Yup leaving about 7:30 sat morning. I've still gotta fix my small fuel leak, hopefully in the next hour, and place my body panels back on, and vacuum that shit out. Maybe wash it... its fucking cold though.

Fixed my small wiring issues, I've got windshield whippers now!! What a relief lol.

Whose whining?! I'm excited for half decent weather. I will drive my car in the rain, wont be fun, but I'm not afraid of a little water. Thats why I'm happy my whippers work.

So far fuel leak is done, I've got a tiny coolant leak coming from the back/under my intake manifold. I'll inspect more some other time...

Just need to get the body panels back and she might be ready!?.
