First startup of my heap after initial t00ning to get it to idle and make cool noises off the 2-step.

Long tube, top mount ShearerFab.com header provides the EVO-ISH exhaust note, Tial 35r provides the boost, build/tuning by me.

Looking good, tial turbos are awesome, the v-band's are sweet! I wish they were out before I purchased my setup. :(

I agree with Gary, you going to be running like Coltboostin? 148mph traps with mid 10 et's lol.

Very nice though.

I have all the AWD swap parts in my garage.

I personallyl prefer the FWD setup honestly on the street.

I have speed based boost control, traction control, etc. You wouldnt even know the car had traction problems on the street.

Big set of drag radials help alot.

If any of you doubt it, we can race 60-180, starting at $500. :)

traction is going to be a huge factor with your car and it sounds like you dont think so, u really think traction control is going to do anything with your 2step?

I do, little do you know, a lot of high HP supra guys are running a Motec system with traction control..... It basically limits boost down low, and adds according to gear/speed... I do believe they have wheel sensors too that aid in the controlling of traction...

also in rwd there is alot of weight transfer to aid traction, with fwd: the drive wheels are right underneath the motor/trans which hurts hooking up... no maybe im thinking rationally but when you use a 2step doesnt that build boost off the line? unless you have huge slicks up front i dont see you hooking up at the track, on the street i dont see you hooking up at all... thats just me though, i dunno (thats my experience with fwd)

my srt4 cant hook.... ever (all of 1st/part 2nd gear) and its got a baby turbo and no boost

^ I agree fwd sucks unles you have an lsd and big slicks. My tc isn't even turbo and does nothing but spin if you launch it hard or get into it, this is why i have an awd Tsi  Also too sure the traction control might stop the spinning but isn't it technically just going to cut power and make you slower anyway?

I'm assuming that since he's dumped a ton of cash into this thing, that he has bought/will buy some nice slicks. That shouldn't have even been a debated issue. I mean goddamn he's running a topmount 35r, I don't think he's going to be cutting any corners.

LOL. You guys are funny. But please don't make me out to be an idiot, that is one thing I'm not. :)

Of course FWD cars with 700hp aren't going to hook properly, but there are TONS of steps to make it better. This is NOT a drag car, it's a street car.

The car is corner weighted, rides on 800lb springs, has a KAAZ LSD, speed based boost control, traction control, etc.

Here some tire setups I have..

STREET:
The car sees auto-x and lapping days on 255-40-17 Falken Azenis tires, and they hook pretty good up until 450whp, which is usually all I run on pump. Any more power and the car DOES NOT hook well on the street.

Now keep in mind one thing. At 450whp power level, this car had traction problems about the same as a bolt on, stock turbo, 2g FWD with the T-25. It's really not bad at all. It will "haze" the tires through 2nd, and hook 3rd 100%.

This is based on the last setup, with single stage boost control, and no traction control. I never had time to really fine tune the traction control.

STREET ON KILL MODE:
235-60-15 M&H Bias Ply's. These are basically slicks, but they are DOT rated. These are new for this year, so I have no idea what they will hook like. But I've heard nothing but good things. I'm hoping they can hold the car at 650whp in 3rd gear, which is EXACTLY why I said let's race from 60 to 180.

TRACK:
I have 24.5x8x15 MH Slicks. I've cut numerous 1.8's on these back when I was learning the car. Never really got it figured out completely, but that was when the car was full weight. I figure back then it could have went 1.7's pretty easy. 1.6's should be capable this year because I've taken some weight out of the car.

The car at 530whp level, has ran many 11's and many 132mph traps. This is ~100whp less than it will be this year, and I'll actually have a turbo that spools between shifts, and a clutch that allows me to shift fast. Plus I've thrown alot of weight out of it.

The 2step is the ONLY way to get a big turbo car out of the hole. I used to bog leaving the line last year at 8psi off the line. Takes a while to dial in a FWD car on slicks properly.

OF COURSE, THIS IS NOT A TRACK CAR. THIS IS NOT A DIG CAR. THIS IS A STREET CAR FIRST AND FOREMOST. 140MPH TRAPPING STREET CAR. :D

Any more questions, or stupid comments, feel free to post. ;)

I couldn't even get better than a 2.1 60 ft. with my GSX and a 2step. First time at the track though. :?
