OK.. so im in the process of getting a little PHP chat program up and running on my server...im bored as rocks so i figured i see what i can to to help the site out here... i figured maby a chat applett might get a little more activity on here... sound like a good idea?


ill post the link when its up and running so we can maby try it out.. shouldent be too long

I'll look into it. I know a few good ajax plugins that i can implement. The bitch is making the chat real time without having some sort of gay chat applet that we have to load.

I can shove in a chat with no user signup and no validation no problem. Are you saying you want to try to sync it with the forums?

And actually, theres a mod for an ajax chat for phpbb 3. That would be the easiest route to go.

But again, it kinda defeats the purpose of forums. I don't wanna have to scroll through a ton of shit to see whats going on.

lol k.... iv always liked irc and i was just getting ready to reformat and noticed my mirc program that i havent used for a while and that came up as an idea for here.. so no biggy if you guys dont want it... and sorry i made another thread like one thats already here...lol

I voted, the forums seem to be growing a little just bc its getting cold out again I suppose so we should just do it

try it and see what happens, if it turns out bad then get rid of it
