According to the weather it is looking nice for saturday thus I hope we have a good turn ot at NTB, if I can get enough people to attend I can get the news out there as well.

i should be there after work. you should put the crux banner up and get aaron to come out again. it seems that was when we were actually almost filling that lot instead of like the 10 people who have been coming as of late lol.

Yah that is a good Idea I shall do that im not sure if Aaron is going to be able to make it I havent talked to him

As of right now, I believe I will be here this weekend...Hope the weather keeps looking good. Get the news there...I will bring out 50ft display with 3 cars, including the SEMA build. I just got a fresh batch of free posters for my 'local tour'...they look sweet, I will pass them out this weekend...The news will wonder what they've been missing if they show up and it looks like we have a ton going on!

I've been meaning to make it out there all summer, but something always kept coming up [weather, family, ect]. I will try to be there this weekend.

My husband and I have been meaning to make the drive over but usually work or the weather gets in the way. Hope to meet some of you this weekend if we choose to swing over. If not, we will soon.

I was able to make it the other week....was low key, but a nice change from the local crap. I just usually get pretty tied up with the gf saturday nights...kinda makes it a PITA.

hey tom by "low key" do you mean they shut the lights off at 10:45, the guy who puts on the car show already left, and there were like 8 cars left with a cop sitting across the street staring at us? low key must be slang for joke. its just a bunch of people sitting in a parking lot, theres not much "show".

i thought it was supposed to go until midnight, then i was told 11:30....now i guess its 10:45. most nights the guys who "put the show on" dont even bring their cars...

maybe if anyone acted like they were in charge, or made people who do stupid shit leave, and the cops werent obviously watching it looking to pull people over, more people would show up.

the news? are these guys for real? i mean i know theres not exactly alot for the news to cover, and the night you call them you guys will actually show up (in your cars) and put up a banner but that dont make it a car show. most nights its a bunch of ricers in v6 mustangs/camaros and aleros and shit like that.

ever notice how few repeat visitors from outside crux there are? i mean ive been to it maybe 4-5 times and ive seen a few people show up with decent cars, and they NEVER come back. most of them walk around for two minutes and laugh and leave.

its the sorriest excuse for a car show ive EVER seen, you guys can get mad at me and bitch about this post all you want but you know its true. its no more a car show than all the guys in niles who sit at cvs. except the cops dont make you leave, they sit across the street and wait for you to leave.

Hey, this 'meet' just might not be your style...no big deal.

Here is my view...me and Dave noticed a need for a decent local meet...to my knowledge there was really nothing geared towards a younger generation of car guys and girls. Me and Dave are really the only 'guys' that are putting this on...I travel to national events many weekends for the first half of the season so I am def hit and miss...and Dave can't always be there as well.

What we do know is that we took the time to get to plan a date, time, and name, and website for a 'decent' meet. Its not BIG, but you are allowed to show up and park and NOT get kicked out. This was a place that opened their doors to us, they turned the lights on JUST for us in that park lot, which costs money to run. We got trash cans to *aid keeping it clean, and they let us take a portion of their parking space and rope it off all summer. Even if 'the guys that run it' can not make it every week, its there for people to enjoy...its at least somewhat organized.

If it does not get bigger, im not too worried to be honest, because Im just happy that there is a place in Boardman, OH for locals who cant travel car to show up and enjoy hanging out at a parking lot, even if its just a couple friends.

Simply put, this is a weekly meet - its the closet thing to an organized event for our generation in this area. Its a place to go hang out with your ride in Boardman and not get kicked out. I would not really consider it a 'car show' by any means - but its what 'we' got and im proud of it.

Just thought i'd give my input! I guess for people that 'dont' enjoy what we have now, or dont want to waste their time with 'small' events or people that might not know as much about cars yet, then you might not want to be a a part of this - but its no big deal, thats fine. As for me and my store, I want to be there to help shape the scene (of what little scene we have/potentially have).

Yeah, the show is nothing crazy or big...but for the locals, its somewhere to go I went this past weekend...just a couple cars hanging out, but we had fun...everyone that came, came because they wanted to...and they stayed because they wanted to...so for the people that are enjoying it...keep coming!

Don't let people that talk negative about the show bother you...there WILL be people that do not like this, and do not find it enjoying...sadly at the moment we do not have the capabilty to make an event that will please just about everyone.

Like was previously stated it is not a car show it is a meet just like superfly is first three weeks there were 70 70 and 100 cars respectivly.

I can't force people to come back I can just tell them about it.

The forth week was supernats and the show has never really been the same since in case you didn't notice no one really comes out any more.

As for me leaving I get there at 7 every saturday if it's 1030 and no ones there what is the point in staying?

Also it has rained every Saturday for the past month this saturday there is a zero percent of rain.

Aaron can not always be there he travels.

I'm all for the show and usually stop by, but I feel bad if someone drives an hour away for it, that's all. Maybe if it gets huge.

as for you cruxsucks.. do you know why cops like to sit across the street? because ive noticed people like to pull in drive by, rev their engine, and take off out of the parking lot showing off. whats so bad about a cop sitting there? its only going to ruin it for the people who cant go speed limits. its not like their there to pull you over as soon as you leave or something. you make no sense complaining about cops. actually you make no sense at all, because you sit there and bitch about dna so much yet you show up. you just go to look for stupid shit to complain about.

the very first dna show was pretty cool. no lights and even though neons are pretty gay looking, it was cool to see everyone with their neons on, hoods/trunks open showing off everything in and out of their car, and lots of cars ive never seen before. if it was like that and not the same cars all the time, then it would be worth it to show up every saturday.
