whats your definition of mild? if you can beat a stock ls1 let alone a slightly modded one.....in a honda.... i mean come on you guys have to admit you gota do some work to pull that off. to say the least. i thought that was the whole attraction to civics and shit like them.....you know the whole underdog thing. ....whatever... it is for some i know that.probably not all

the whole my buddy car faster then yours yeah they started that by saying the hondas beat dave i didnt come back with a faster car. but oh no they didnt stop their they had to bring up frank who had nothing to do with the conversation (honda bashing plates)i let that go too. still didnt come back with a faster car. then i forget what they said but it was just plain dumb and they thought they where the most bad ass thing on the road so i humbled them (lol) by informing them yeah your cars fast but your not that big of a bad ass. .....they brought it upon themselfs.

and yeah the hondas probably do cost less with mods then the ls1 f-bodys. thats why im building an lt1 my car probably cost close to what the hondas turbo system cost.

i probably didnt reply to some stuff but im going to bed

oh yeah i cant afford to buy the tires.

dude your posts make no sense. all that was said is that you think your car is "fuckin bitch and that you can take any honda out there" and that your buddy earned the rights to his honda bashing plates. Cory just stated the fact that your friend gets rapped by a mildly modded honda and you pull out the "oh why dosent he race garys t/a". the reason the frank kid was brought into it is the fact that his car is faster than the lt1 firebird and he got ripped on too.

which is less than a set of heads cost for your lt1 lol. in my book i'd say thats pretty lightly modded! Stock unopened block, stock head, baby turbo on low psi...

250hp in a 2600lb car > 300 in a 3600 lb car :thumbsup:

We made 452 hp on the hatchback on a stock motor... and ran that shit on the street. And including the car and a d15b motor that came in it, we had less then 5g's total.

Honda's blow. They are slow. That's why people should be scared :shock:

ok yet again your putting words in my mouth never once did i say that my car was the shit and no honda could beat it. i did say i havent found one yet . my camaro is blue and i never acted like that thing was bad ass it a v6....automatic....it sux. lol. and i liked that danm beanie.

and if your makeing 450 some hp out of a honda with less the 5 grand...including the car thats fucking sweet. but like i said no mattter what i just wouldnt want an import to race. even if my car is slower i like it better. it has a v8 rumble, it looks sweet. t-tops. i mean its just my prefrence.

Just wanted to clarify a few things then I'm going back to ignoring this website..

1. Gary Evanoff traded his Camaro in over a year ago, his T/A isn't a WS6 and it never ran in the 9s at all..

2. Dave Jones' a.k.a "8URHNDA" car isn't riced, it's also not a WS6 and it's basically stock. He also doesn't plan on doing the "big build" 'til NEXT winter, not this one. It's an automatic, 2.73 geared, loaded up non-WS6 Trans Am, about one of the slowest combination you can get in an LS1 f-car. I think it ran high 13s/low 14s at SVN '07..

3. Frank Ancriles Camaro (Z28, auto, 3.23 gears, headers/exhaust/cai) is a little on the bling side, but thats his taste I guess.. He really doesn't race it.


..and thats about it. I'm not going to even bother with the other nonsense.

Bummer Nick sold his car, we never got a chance to race.. :roll:

ya i have a mostly stock lt1 also.. with 119k miles on it... cold air intake and full exhaust w/ 20psi street tires @1600 rpm launch ran a 14.0 at last years svn. The whole horsepower to weight ratio is why when u take a honda n slap some horsepower to it their fast. as for the whole rice thing... i hate ppl who put fart cans on their cars n think their fast... other than that i respect the tuners who rebuild their motors, know how to make nice turbo setups and so on and so forth. the only bitch about the LT1 is.... their not built to handle alot of horsepower past what stock is... stock is about 300 hp, u put 450 or so to them and they start breaking things, transmissions, rear ends, upgrade those and add some serious horsepower they run, but its just like anything else... money=power=bragging rights. i'm not on here to knock anyones car other than the fart cans lol but honestly i can say the LT1 cars are decently fast to start with, and will stock for stock beat most any honda or what have u.... not saying all so don't go off on a rant saying i did, now a days there's v6's with more horsepower than my car came with its sickning but the only reason i'm hanging on to mine is because i like working on it and it makes me feel like i built something cool, i'm pretty sure thats the same feeling we all have or we'd be driving some junky daily driver everywhere

ur just like one of those dumbass kids with mustangs who put an exhaust system on a gt and all of a sudden they got a really fast car cause its a v8 and it sounds fast!!

stock lt1s are not fast...lol Maybe compared to a stock honda it is, but its also almost double the sticker price. its a 14 second car without some tire under it, with tire u may be able to squeak out a 13.8-13.9

as for a rematch with mo, dont bother... from a roll it ran almost door to door with me this summer

the whole 453whp and 343 wtq is pretty impressive... what was done to the thing? as for my car i'm not going to mess w/ the weight, i like things the way they are if i really want to make it go faster than what i already have planned maybe i'll use nitrous or something because the bottom end setup i have will take the beating, anywho thats a ton of hp for that weight did u have drag bars on it? and if not how did it ever hook?
