I don't really understand why you painted the rear caliper bracket and not the front one...looks out of place and unfinished. I'd go back and do that.

Wanna buy a set of Sportlines to further delay that beast? Won't be nice out till April anyhow :P

Song for your friend by the Dead Milkmen

Hey Jack, what's happenin'?
Oh, I don't know.
Well, rumor around town says you think you might be heading down to the shore.
Uh, yeah, I think I'm goin' down to the shore.
Whatcha gonna do down there?
Uh, I don't know, play some video games, buy some Def Leppard t-shirts.
Hey, don't forget to get your Motley Crue t-shirt, y'know, all proceeds go to get their lead singer out of jail.
Uh huh.
Hey, you gonna check out the sand bar while you're there?
Uh, what's the Sand Bar?
Oh, it's this place that lets sixteen year-old kids drink.
Oh, cool.
Y'know who's gonna be there?
Uh, who?
My favorite cover band, Crystal Shit.
Oh.
Yeah, they do a Doors show, you'd be really impressed, in fact, it goes a little like this:

Love me two times baby
Love me twice today (short musical pause)
Love me two times girl
Cause I got AIDS
Love me two times baby, once for tomorrow, once cause I got AIDS

Wow, Pretty good Jim Morrison impersonation there.
Yeah, I hope those guys have a good sense of humor and don't take us to court.
Uh, what's the court?
Never mind that,
(interrupts) Oh, you mean like the People's Court?
Well, that's another story; the important thing here is you gotta ask me
how I'm gonna get down to the shore.
Uh, how you gonna get down to the shore?
Funny you should ask, I've got a car now.
Oh wow, how'd you get a car?
Oh, my parents drove it up here from the Bahamas.
You're kidding!
I must be, the Bahamas are islands, okay, the important thing now, is
that you ask me what kind of car I have.
Uh, what kinda car do ya got?
I've got a
BITCHIN CAMARO!.....

BITCHIN CAMARO, BITCHIN CAMARO
I ran over my neighbors
BITCHIN CAMARO, BITCHIN CAMARO,
Now it's in all the papers
My folks bought me a BITCHIN CAMARO with no insurance to match;
So if you happen to run me down, please don't leave a scratch.
I ran over some old lady one night at the county fair;
And I didn't get arrested, because my dad's the mayor.
BITCHIN CAMARO, BITCHIN CAMARO
Doughnuts on your lawn
BITCHIN CAMARO, BITCHIN CAMARO
Tony Orlando and Dawn
When I drive past the kids, they all spit and cuss,
Because I've got a BITCHIN CAMARO and they have to ride the bus.
So you'd better get out of my way, when I run through your yard;
Because I've got a BITCHIN CAMARO;
And an Exxon credit card.
BITCHIN CAMARO, BITCHIN CAMARO
Hey, man where ya headed?
BITCHIN CAMARO, BITCHIN CAMARO
I drive on unleaded.

Don't worry...I had a bitchin 3rd gen too..88 formula

wif a carb conversion, headers, offroad y, 3" flowmaster catback, intrax's/ hotchkis sways 3:42 rear with rear disc conversion 700r4 car.....not really a fan of the carb thing, but it works decent enough. Milage and tq usually suffer.

Kinda sucks, I redid that whole car, had $800 in the entire thing.....I only got to drive it 3 times. I lent it to my brother for awhile and he blew it up (smashed the oil pan in on something), I was halfway through a motor swap (about 2 days) and my dad threw a shit fit and made me sell it since he was fueding with the neighbors and I couldn't work on it in the drive.

All right another Thrid gen. I had a 88 T/A before the Grand national and my Z28. I had TPI and it wasn't very fast. Carbs are the way to go for sure. There cheap and work great as long as u know how they work and how to tune them :wrench: . My engine is out in mine for "stock" rebuild... LOL 47,000 original miles drove 2 hours to PA to get it. I love it is pretty nice shape.

Image A pic of the my 88 T/A

Still had all the stock emission shit on it. It passed e-check in PA. But good thing I dont have Echeck because there is no way its goin to pass. Who needs cats??? LOL

There is a horn button it now the interior is like brand new. Very good for a car thats 23 years old.

First off, just about everything you say on here makes you sound dumb. Secondly, if you think I'm only being rude to you for the sake of these Crux kids, you're wrong. I'm only here for the entertainment factor, nothing else. The point I was trying to make about selling your car was the fact that you're making your car and yourself look bad with your stupid comments/comebacks, lack of intelligence, poor spelling and a seemingly desperate attempt to get these import kids to accept you... after you've already ran your mouth to all of them in the beginning. In all honesty, I don't think any of them really give a shit about you or your Trans Am, they just enjoy laughing at you because it's taking you forever it put your car back together. With the majority this group, it seems that no matter what's done to your "duh-mess-tick", or even what it is, (Corvette, T/A, etc) it's still a domestic and it'll always be held on a lower regard, even to cars like a Honda Civic or a Hyundai Accent. So if you're trying to gain acceptance from these people your pretty much wasting your time anyway..

I understand your situation and I realize it takes longer than normal to put headers on an LT1 f-body than any other car in existance, but quit dragging it out by posting pictures and complaining about it.. GET IT DONE!!

I like 3rd gens. My parents had an '82 black/gold WS6 waayy back in the day. I've always been fond of GTA's and IROC's too. Your car is nice, the paint is a little faded it seems, but what do you expect for a 23 year old car? You plan on racing it much, or is it just going to be a cruiser? It was originally a 305, is that's what's in it now, because if it is, I would rather have a 350 to start with. Carbs aren't bad, but I'd rather have my EFI with better mpg, instant throttle response and easier cold starts.

So what's this about a Grand National?..

It must've been that "Hyundai Accent" comment that caught your eye.. :D

I never said you or anyone else were ignorant, just biased towards domestics. I'll use you as an example, hope you don't mind..

In another thread you were knocking the fact that someone had put aftermarket wheels on a 150hp Cavalier.. while you have a set on your 138hp Hyundai Accent. So how is a Hyundai Accent any better than a Chevy Cavalier? Ironically, you have The Stig as your default and a Jeremy Clarkson quote in your sig.. funny thing is if you watch the show, they HATE Korean cars, they hate Korean cars more than they hate American cars. They're really not that fond of Japanese cars, either..

and I quote James May, "Hyundai Accident".

Well i had a 1984 grand national had 3.8 turbo with t-tops which I bought with no engine tranny or interior when I was 14 and it was a straight up project car and i just sold it in october.

This is what it looked like when I got it.

Image
Image

I did some body work and got it in primer and started driving it and racing it.

Image
Me vs a lighting with 15lbs of boost
Image

Then a Semi gloos paint job in my garage. ( The primer made it look like shit and it is meant to be black)

Image

Image I always burned off all my tires so I never had a matching set of rims on it LOL

Image
Then I bought a whole interior out of a 78 Cutlass With leather bucket seats and a console which is very hard to find and expensive

Had a mild 350 in it.
Image

I had this car for 4 years and had ALOT of time and money in it but I sold it. My Z28 will be faster than it but I miss it.I did a near whole restoration

Here are the specs.
Chevy 350 ,Edelbrock intake ,carb and cam with valve spring and timing chain. Headers 2 1/2 inch true dual exhaust. Flat top pistons, I rebuilt it all myself. Accel ignition setup, No emissions Duh, Th 350 tranny with a 2000 stall convertor and B&M shift kit, Had a 3.42 open rear end in it when I got it but I blew that and put a 3.73 Posi in it which helped. I had more stuff like air shocks and traction bars and non perfromance stuff like a sending unit but I ran pretty good.

Ok #1 my car is not an Accent it is an Elantra. I don't know where you are getting your HP numbers from because you are making my car blush. I don't know exactly off hand how much an Accent makes but my car with a 2.0 Beta-II with CVVT only makes around 106WHP. The Alpha 1.6 I'm guessing is around 80WHP or less which comes in the Accent.

I am in no way biased against domestics only badly made vehicles. In my opinion the Cavalier, among many other cars, are cheaply made vehicles that I would never buy. My car is extremely reliable and has been wonderful to me. I will admit Hyundai was complete shit, in 1998 Chung Ju Yung gave the company to his son and he realized they had been making pieces of shit and revamped the entire company to the glory that it is today.

As far as Top Gear is concerned those guys are journalists not car people. Granted Clarkson has been doing it since like '88, still he only likes anything that will powerslide or is a Lamborghini. I love the show still however because it is great, best car show on television. Also if you have watched the show you will have noticed that they quite enjoy the Hyundai Coupe(Tiburon GK), now guess which other car in the Hyundai lineup is essentially identical to the GK chassis and can actually swap suspension and other parts over to it......oh yeah the Elantra.

I never said that you were referring to us "kids" as ignorant, I was simply stating that it seemed as though you were ignorant to all the hard work we put into our cars.

Lastly, I love you. Your burliness is sexy.
