everyone on here likes to race. win or lose fast car slow car, etc. but i mean are you really going to race people 75 miles? by just cruising, you block the freeway so theres an empty road ahead of you, and everyone can match up with who they want and for it as long as they want. im sure no one would wanna drive to cleveland going 130 the whole time passing cops and such. get what im sayin?

No, you mis-interpretted what I was saying.

I like to race. At a track, with safety in mind and going against the clock. I'm not saying I've never street-raced, but you can't exactly get on a 140mph trapping car just anywhere.

What I meant by cruising, was I didn't like to drive my car out to Taco Bell on the weekends and hang out with a bunch of douchebags in Cavaliers sitting in a parking lot.

..and what I meant by the Cleveland comment. I live in Cleveland, so if you guys were trying to drive up for a meet, I could help out. Although if you haven't seen the half-mile turbo BUSA races, you haven't seen streetracing. :)

It is funny how much that sums up everything I've ever seen on weekends.

sorry for misinterpreting. and to corey, what i meant by having fun would be the same as we all do cruising down 224 but going 60-70. if the freeway is clear you know someone is gonna wanna let it rip for a couple seconds.

Sometimes I hard-park at Best Buy

I don't get the pot calling the kettle black issues here. 'Man I hate seeing *x brand* of cars out', yet you realize you are driving something just as stupid if not worse......and not really helping your cause. Yet you are angered, and that is funny.

The mess right here that's usually bitching and whining with the crx kid......idk, maybe not so much in this thread, and not just him; but there's just so much banter about what sucks when only 10% of the people on the board know what they're talking about, or have even laid their own wrench or have something worth driving.

It just strikes me funny is all because if I was in a cavalier sitting somewhere, and a kid rolls by in a 4dr elantra with wheels on it, my reaction to it would be the same as his resentment to the jbody stuff. I mean, I'm not even sure which one is more rediculous

This is my daily driver… Parents bought it for me when I was 15 off my grandma, completely stock green cavalier. Yes it’s automatic. Who cares, I wanted to do something to it so I started buying stuff for it and by the time I was 17 it looked like this. Sure people say it’s a “Ricer” car but I like it so who gives a shit. People that are not into one specific kind of car like it. Who cares what other people say about your car. Yeah I daily drive a cavalier with a body kit and what not, but I also got my dsm, before that I had my integra. Just ignore what some people say/ think and do what you like.
The End.

back in the day it used to be decent... we would sit at goodyear ('we' as in the people with decent cars, not the tbell dbags) Until they started getting kicked out of tbell for trashing the place and swarmed goodyear; eventually ruined that for us too. Because of those tools theres nowhere to actually park anymore even for a few mins without cops flying in telling u to gtfo.

its not the fact they don't have nice cars that annoies me, its the fact they have no respect for anything and just act like complete fags

so so true..

payless in niles used to be a hot spot (i'm talkin at least 5-6 years ago).. nothing but nice cars were even allowed to park in the front or u got dirty looks from everyone else... then the quality standard dropped big time. after that all hell broke loose and i stopped going because it turned into the high school drama center with fights breaking out & other crap that got the cops called.

there really isn't anywhere to go now with your car and just hang out with cool people who arn't tryin to start shit..

I think my J-body hating has been misconstrued. I see no point in dumping a ton of money into something so lame. I actually appreciate a decently modded Cavalier but the only J-body bashing I really did was say that SSR's do not belong on a J-body. I don't race my car, I know it is slow, I'm not trying to impress anyone, and I don't think it is worth putting SSR's on it, which is why I purchased some cheap ass wheels for it. I actually kept my car stock for one year without modding it but eventually realized I could do some things to make it a bit more fun to drive and make it more aesthetically pleasing. I have only all totaled not even spent more than a thousand dollars on aftermarket things for it, there is no point. I bought my car to get me through college economically, but I couldn't resist modifying it a little bit I mean I've been into cars since I can remember. The Elantra at the time when I purchased it was a DD replacement that I felt would be more reliable and cheaper to maintain than the E36 M3 that i was also considering. I think that about sums up everything, jesus you guys are so moody.
