Well the eclipse looks to be sold, and I have around $5000 to play with. I really don't wanna spend that much on whatever i get next, seeing as it will be a DD. I've been looking around but don't know what I should get. Needs to not kill me on gas, and not break down every day. Quick would be a plus, but I don't really care. Import/domestic/whatever. What do you think?

Hopefully i'm gonna have enough cash at the end of the summer to buy something i really want, I'm thinking a VW jetta GLI. The 6 speed makes me drool.

Gonna need about 10 more g's for that GLI.... umm I'm in a similar boat looking for a new DD... its a tough one I feel you man. But if you like DSM's you could always do another Eclipse 1g...

Yah I know, hopefully at the summer's end ill have enough for that, I see them going for $13,000. I just don't know what to get right now. I'll probably grab the first decent thing i see.

i can look around for an early ls1 cam/ta... prob can find i decent 98/99 for that, prob with high miles... want me to look?

There was an lt1 z28 6 speed on Nasioc for like 3500 dollars, 140k miles or so. Fucking cheap lol.

Ya Gary, keep an eye out for me! Ijust don't wanna be working on something though, but if it's high miles, clean, and cheaper i'm down...

Put it towards a new Hyundai Accent.
I don't think I'd ever buy a used VW. The new models are just starting to get my trust...but not yet.

99-'00 Protege 1.8 (ES), Focus ZX3 (I believe you could always get SVT parts), BMW E30, SAAB, 300ZX?
Maybe a Subaru if you'd want AWD...older Legacy or Impreza. If you could find an early 90's turbo Legacy (will never happen).

my friend is actually looking to sell his gli, its black on black 6spd with maybe 70-80k miles. Hes probably asking more than 5k though...

It doesnt get driven in winter, and its basically $ I could be using other places/savings. I'm totally gonna cry when it goes though. T-Tops are so goddamn awesome in the summer/nights. The car gets more attention then my stang I think.

Price is slightly obo. Comes with a set of sportlines. Already has an adjustable panhard and a skip shift emlinator, new brakes (front) and a new waterpump.

Basically a stock fun cruiser.

The car has 157k on it I think. I guess I can off the zr1s separately, but they look soooooooooooo good They literally have like under 500 miles on them.

I understand. Mechanically the car seems pretty legit even at milage. Doesn't burn or leak any oil. No funky noises or anything other than the usual low speed (sub 1200rpm) tob 'rattle' in 1st, which I guess is common as my bros LS1 does it too. Starts and goes everytime.

If I had to guess at the next thing 'to go' it would be the optispark, but I've never an issue.

LMK if that kid doesnt pick up your GSX, I might be interested lol. Do you have the stock nose or wheels for it?

Yah i'm gonna keep looking around, because I just can't afford to buy another car that i'll have to work on. How many miles are on that clutch, btw?

As far as the GSX, the kid game me some money down on it, so it looks like he's taking it for sure. But i'll let you know. I was selling it with the stock wheels and the aftermarket. And no, I don't have the stock nose.

It's cool. No idea on the clutch.

Who told you that?? My brothers '94 Formula(same engine) has 165k on it and still runs great. Never been rebuilt. I've heard of others with 220k and 250k still going strong.. As long as the engine has been taken care of properly through-out its life, that motor will last 250-300k miles.

Well just researching high miles T/A's. Good to hear they can last long!
