This guy is offering me $9k in cash for it.

Here's my listing

Of course for $9k, I would probably keep all my extra parts and throw on the stock wheels.

I love my baby, it runs so flawlessly god I don't know if I want to part ways with it.

wow those 96's must pull way more coin than the earlier 90's ones. ive seen twin turbo ones that are super clean go for like 7-8k.

if you can get something you will like better for the 9k, then do it. dont sell it if youre not going to replace it with something you like as much or better.

Yeah plus I priced mine a little higher in the listing since it is 96 and unbelievably in great condition, like seriously, it runs like it was brand new off the floor lol.
You see alot of shitty 300zx's around 5-8k.

If I do end up selling (which is very likely if the guy is serious) I'd do it right and buy a twin turbo :]

Damn 9 grand hell yeah. Then move down the Nissan family line and buy a 240 and SR20 swap/mod it with the extra cash. :)

Well, I'm not too sure since we did buy the Z for $8700. This guy wants the Z for $9000 with the wheels and tires and the extra mods I've done. Ive only actually put about $1500 into the car and I've only been driving it since April. So Idk, not too sure.

Dude how many miles were on it when you bought it and how many are there now? For 9k you should be able to pick up a very clean TT....... The car market is in the shitter right now for most when it comes to re-sale. Its a great time for buyers.

^ Very true. However if don't think you could find a cleaner car; keep it and swap it. A good platform is more important than the mechanical end IMO. You can always swap that shit out.

9k is stellar $ right now though. I found a sick c5 vette for 11k the other day.

In all, I'd prolly do it.

The TT models have one of the worst engines to work on. A guy I knew in HS had a dark gray TT and then a white TT, he said it was the biggest pain in the ass to work on. The white one looked really nice though.

Thats what rb26 swaps are for. If I ever owned a 300zx TT it would either be kept BPU, or motor swapped to an RB. But I most likely wont own one, unless I'm collecting a line of awesome JDM turbo cars later in life. ;)

I do agree with Tom in some instances, platform is crucial. To be a solid platform for a great car to be built off of is one that isn't rotted. Paint can be fixed, and so can minor body work. Rust is a whole other story...
