What would you do in this situation?

Postby crx ef 88 » Wed Sep 30, 2009 7:06 am

ok ill make a long story short.

i was dating this girl for about 2 years and we broke up around the 4th of July. so it really hasnt been THAT long.
well last night she tells me that shes going to a concert i wanted to go to really bad. i read on a "friends" facebook status that he is going to the same concert.

i had a feeling before that they were hanging out because they "ran into each other a few times at ceadars". keep in mind that my ex, nor my "friend" are the type to go to bars. And also keep in mind that my ex is from New Middletown and my "friend" is from North Jackson. They both told me nothing was going on and i trusted them both and i kinda just forgot about it. This was probabaly a month and a half ago.

Anyways, i ask her who shes going with to this concert and she tells me "well im going with him because i didnt want to go by myself". so im imedietley pissed off. My ex starts ignoring my texts. then at like 2 in the morning last night i text her and ask her if something is going on between them. She is honest with me and tells me she likes him and that they have been hanging out. I ask her how long and she tells me "maybe a month".

So shit hit the fan and i unloaded on her pretty good. She basicly thinks its ok that shes talking to one of my "friends"

I havent confronted my "friend" about this yet but i am sure going to. My cousin texted him and asked "why he was hanging out with my ex". He responded "my bad didnt think it was a big deal"

Now my question to you is what would you do? Beat his ass for going behind your back and talking to your ex and lying about it to your face?

If its a good friend, fuck him. Acquaintance, shit happens, people sometimes become attracted to another its just nature.

As for her, if you guys are broken up why are you still talking to her? I can understand if you are just "friends" but has she been stringing you along these last few months for comfort/someone to run to when she needs it? If so knock that shit out now, and stop talking to her. There are plenty of other seafood stores to peep around in out there.

I agree with Cory, why are you still talking to this girl? It will be way easier for you to just sever all ties to both and move on because it sounds like you haven't.

the kid that was my friend was a pretty good friend i thought. he has always been friends with my group of friends that i hang out with all the time.

as for her, the reason i WAS still talking to her was that i just found out all this shit has been going down last night. i was thinking i was going to wait it out till she came back around and straightend her shit out. but as far as im concerned shes dead to me.

An ex is an ex is an ex. You shouldn't be giving a fuck about her business whatsoever. How can you be mad at her for seeing another dude if you are broken up? Might hurt a little to stomach, but she isn't yours anymore.

The only thing you have a right to be pissed about is your 'friend', who should have asked if you were cool with him seeing your ex. But, if they like each other and knew you'd have an issue then that's another issue altogether. Would you have said it's ok? He'd prolly be spiteful if he really did like her. I don't have many friends that wouldnt do something just because I said no. This would have most likley happened anyways.

Fuck it. Move on. Find someone worth caring about (if the problem WAS her and not you) and go about your life.
It whistles while it WORKS.

sounds shitty, but i think you should have gone to your "friend" first instead of this ex.

Definatly not worth the mess. Move along. To hell with that "friend".

I'm currently dating a friend's ex girlfriend. Looking back, i probably should have just talked to him about it, and there were some hard feelings, but in the end everything is okay.

I guess what my point to this is an ex is an ex. If you are upset about her dating other guys, then marry her or something. And your friend, well i'm sure he wasn't trying to upset you. He probably just didn't know how to talk to you about it. Can't really help who you care about

Ex means EX! Leave it alone. And it goes to show what kind of friend he was, where he couldn't just man up and say something.... =|

Doing shit like that is very im-mature. Like you WANT problems in your life... and shit like and EX is not worth it... Just my 2 cents from a chick.

Whats the situation? The girl moved on? I guess some of us just have a different mindset. As far as the man law goes, i guess some guys think different. I don't care if my friends date my exes, in fact i've encouraged it on several occasions. I guess that's why I don't see the big deal. But I can see how jealous territorial types get pissy about it.
