Take back the keys!

Hey guys, i was made aware of this over the weekend. There has been a new law passed that you are no longer allowed to have a nitrous fed car on the street. If your caught with a nitrous bottle in your car, the car is able to to be impounded and not returned to the rightful owner. I was notified while passing through tech by Terry as well as a friend that happens to be a cop.

The shitty part is that my bottle was empty and not even hooked up coz i haven't needed it since i went turbo about 5 years ago. I just always liked the way it looked back there between the back seats.

I wanted to let you guys know, i'm not sure if any of you have nitrous in your cars but it would be a real shame to have it in there and never see your car again.

this is fair warning, we all know whats comming in two weeks. They have the flat beds ready.

arosol cans are more flamable than nitrous oxide. The people making the laws must have watched fast & furious to many times. That shit doesn't just explode!


aside from that statement, my bottle is in the safest place in the car, AND it's sourounded by a pretty heavy duty metal cage! lol That bottle is safer than i am in there!

Oooooooo, my brother is going to be PISSED. Pretty fucking stupid law. I'll tell him to be sure not to purge at the Nats.

Wonder what other things they'll be taking away from us. Not like my car isn't retardedly illegal anyhow.......good thing it rarely leaves it's jackstands.

naa i haven't looked. The sources are obviously credible but i'm sure the paperwork is out there.

just rig a co2 tank up if purging all you do! that is if it wont freeze up the solenoids.

There are something like 12 or 13 states now that have this law and ohio just passed it recently. As far as i know, PA does not have this law yet.

Just go all vin deisel and put the nos bottles in a hiden seat compartment.

the nitrous thats used for automotive application has sulfer in it, kids arn't gonna get high off of that.

Sounds like to me. Do you have anything substantial to back this up, other than what someone said? I googled it real quick and didn't find anything.
