Slowly doing mods

Postby Ubryaj » Sun May 17, 2009 12:02 am

Well, I finally did a few "mods" to the Genesis Coupe. Just did the intake silencer delete+mini silencer delete today. I can hear the turbo. 8) I also order a Buschur Racing Manual Boost Controller that will be here soon. The computer limits it to 18 psi. Not sure what will be next, maybe an intake. Yes, I know, no major mods yet, but it is a start. I know some people were asking me what my plans were for the car, this is my first turbo car and parts are still coming out, so it's a learning experience.

Exhaust would have been my first mod. Opening up area behind the turbo shows the most gains with bolt ons. This goes for just about any factory turbo car. Post some pics up.

If you would have given me some money, it would have been my first mod too. lol I'm waiting to see what comes out. I'm kind of happy with the stock exhaust. It's not overly loud, but sounds pretty good for stock.

Here's a video of what it sounds like after the intake delete. (girl has the same car as me)

Oh and Dave, they're overpriced, but far from junk.

I'll get some new pics up eventually. The MBC will be in this week. Everyone is telling me "OMFG you NEED a boost gauge" but I don't see a need yet. I might just save up and get a Greddy Informeter.

All in good time...

I can't get over 18 psi so there's no need for a gauge yet. Still waiting for my MBC from BR. I got an email saying it will be a few extra days. :(

Chris, you can drive it right after we put a "system" in it and paint the dash pink.

You really can't drive manual?
