as for you cruxsucks.. do you know why cops like to sit across the street? because ive noticed people like to pull in drive by, rev their engine, and take off out of the parking lot showing off. whats so bad about a cop sitting there? its only going to ruin it for the people who cant go speed limits. its not like their there to pull you over as soon as you leave or something. you make no sense complaining about cops. actually you make no sense at all, because you sit there and bitch about dna so much yet you show up. you just go to look for stupid shit to complain about.

the very first dna show was pretty cool. no lights and even though neons are pretty gay looking, it was cool to see everyone with their neons on, hoods/trunks open showing off everything in and out of their car, and lots of cars ive never seen before. if it was like that and not the same cars all the time, then it would be worth it to show up every saturday.

i think putting cones across the entrance closest to giant eagle would be a good idea. 1 way in 1 way out.

but still the main problem is getting people. like just attracting everyones hondas or subaru (no offense) doesnt do it. theres so many people with clean cars of all kinds out there in this area. the scene could be as big as you can make it. you just have to offer something in return.

idea: have a saturday marked off as a certain car only show. it would be advertised as like evo night or something along the lines. everyone with that model of car shows up. and you give something out to the best in show only if theres more than a 20 car gathering. everyone else will park on the other side of the ropes, etc.

once you start seeing different fast clean cars like daves, noahs, aarons, etc. then you know your doing something right.

this would be a good idea, but the only problem i see is there just isn't that many cars around here. just using your example of an evo night, there just flat out isn't 20 evo's driving around youngstown. i could see doing like an import night and then a domestic night, but once you do that once its pretty much done lol. keep throwing any ideas out if you have them though.

There are tons of nice cars locally, it's just the ones with the really nice cars don't waste their time coming to this. For example, Killa's money pit, i've only seen it there like once. Then the whole VW crew, they never come.

- Lack of structure and organization
- No set and dedicated program directors. ie: If you go to 330tuning's Superfly, you have people running the show, taping off areas and week to week reapeat and dedicated showings at the event. It's going to have to be an actual job for some people until it becomes consistent to others on the quality of cars arriving ntm having it advertised. If I was a newcomer (and have been) and drove my ass all the way out there to only see crap and ricers, I would NEVER come back. Informal nights at the Walmart down there earlier in the year did better
- Security. Superfly ends at nightfall. This event that has yet to take off has no such pull to actually get people to show up at 7pm. I could think of alot better things to do before dark when people usually head out. Traditionally people show up @ 10pm, and if it's lights out at 10:30 you are going to be hardpressed to get people with nice stuff to pull into an unlit lot filled with a bunch of ricers and open their $$ hood. People showed at the Walmart because it was actually lit up indefinately.

The last few times I tried to attend this, it was a joke. I don't have the time nor the $ to drive 30min out there every saturday to just sit and park and hope I draw enough of a crowd so that people know wtf is going on and maybe show up.

Why doesnt one of our supposed vynil promoter and show promoter *cough* DAVE *cough* see if they cant hang a banner out by the street on each sides stating the DNA event? Why is there nothing on the windows or the counters of the local parts stores in the area? Is there anything actually in the window of NTB? Is this a random mystery car show that exists only on and within these dead-ass crux forums? Do I really need to say more or are you really that confused as to why this might suck?

Until it gets run like an actual event, its not going to be one. PERIOD.

Why dont you try to organize a grand am club meet to swing out there? At least it's something......wonder if they'd make the effort to return when they see zero show promotion and no one there but their own club.

See, ^ THIS helps...I appreciate the actual input on why the show is bad (no sarcasm). I understand a lot of your points, as many of them really are apparent...I would love to see an event that helps the scene, or lack of, get a bit stronger...or, at best, connect the locals who do enjoy this.

I dont want to speak for Dave, but my input is that...we saw nothing here, so we thought, lets just organize a time and place and give people a spot to go without getting kicked out. So, we didnt nail it out of the box, but what is good, is that we at least have something to work from. I don't see this going away, so we are taking constructive criticism very seriously!

its ok, starting next weekend after the liberty wal-mart opens im going to have my own car meet. and none of you simple fucks are invited. NO CRUX FUCKS ALLOWED, i think im going to have a banner made that says that. i dont see the difference in the quality of cars between ntb on a saturday night, and a normal wal mart parking lot anyway, in fact wal mart may have you guys beat!!!

I mean theres and difference between the meet not being good and making a comment/suggestion about it, and/or us having the meet and for some reason it bothers you enough to complain about it?

Don't mean to come down you specifically, but you always seem to be a bit harsh on the whole event, Anyways, i've said before...numbers arnt 'too' imporant...if people are enjoying what little we do have, then its working... if its not your thing, and you dont ever want it 'to be' your thing, then, well thats just fine too

ill agree that the structure is garbage... people seem to think that giving something a name than letting word of mouth do the rest of the work will work.... iv done my share of work helping promote crux and dna and have got nothing in return

if you havent noticed iv done alot of thinking which got me all fired up at work today, (thats what happens when you work in a corner alone, i have fun in my corner alone )

and the guys with the 24's should probably be left out.. thats all hood status.. not car enthusiasm... i would definatly get shot

Yeah seriously, I mean I havent made an appearance in the past few weeks because I go out of town a lot on weekends, but for christs sake, didnt you say that Rob doesnt go anymore? How bad is that? I mean he has the worlds fastest auto teg, and ripping on ricers is like his favorite passtime and even he doesnt want to go.


last time I went there were like at its max there were maybe 15 cars, and the breakdown went something like: 1/3 cars had no mods, 1/3 were rice, and 1/3 actually had work done to them and were worth looking at for like 2 minutes. The only reason I stayed as long as I did was because Bill, Rob, and a few other people that I knew were there aside from the 5 people I brought with me.

And you need to promote it more. Myspace is a good start, but you need to make simple fliers and hand them out to people at other cruise-in's and random gathering spots.

i was driving home last night and seen more cars at taco bell than at daves show. i was driving so i didnt see who, but a green stingray was there with its hood open and such. lots of people too. like someone else said, someones going to need to be in charge because people dont respect anything around here. thats why superfly puts on good shows. because them guys have respect. you dont see no one fucking around up there much. i dont think anyone around here respects anyone for that matter. i know alot of you talk shit on me, and i know many others that talk shit on alot of you too. it has to be more than just a simple park your car and walk around thing.
