5-10-09 Superfly Sunday season opener

Events that we will be attending

5-10-09 Superfly Sunday season opener

Postby Running925 » Tue Apr 21, 2009 12:32 am

I'd like to make a strong y-town showing, all cruise out together (DOING SPEED LIMITS BECAUSE WE'LL BE DRAWING ENOUGH DAMN ATTENTION).

keep in mind that this lands on mother's day, so get your mom stuff taken care of durring the first part of the day and then get ready to roll.

Things usually start rollin around 7 ish out there, so i'd like to leave town around 6 (more details to come)

I'd like to get somewhat of a head count in on this so if your gonna go, say so in this thread (& give your first name too) and i'll add your name to this list.

I'M GOING:
1. Running925 (Tony)
2. crx ef 88 (Eric)
3.

Mother's Day is prolly gonna be a no-go for me too unless my mom has to work; and even then we visit my grandmother at night.

I heard a few of the Porsche guys at the AutoX talking about going after.

So it wasn't official yesterday? Could it have been busted by the police?

i'm currently sitting in the passenger seat of an 09 wrx, heading home from superfly. It was a last minute thing where my buddy chris called and asked what i was doing & i told him what i wish i was doing (going to superfly with my car) and he said "well lets take mine". So we leff and went out there.

They had an excellent turn-out and things looked to be going really smooth. I talked to augie for a little bit and they have plans to iron things out a little bit better for traffic flow and what not. The lot looked packed and they handed out 300 fliers that were printed, so that gives a good idea of how many cars where there throughout the night. The rain held off, there were a few sprinkles developing just before we left but nothings un-tolorable.

I did see some of you guys out there..

What were your thoughts on the first official superfly?

that was you! Man I looked right at you, and felt like you looked familiar lol. I just couldn't think of it at the time. Might have helped if I knew you were heading out.

It was a crazy turn out. However I hear no more muscle cars next week? Any truth to this? I feel like that's possibly a bad idea...

Postby Running925 » Sun May 10, 2009 11:07 pm

yes that was me. :)

i doubt there will be anything holding the muscle cars back. I didn't hear anything like that.

Even if there were truth to that, it would be extreamly difficult being that the spaghetti warehouse will be holding their own event (classic show) from like 3-6 every sunday this summer and superfly technicly starts at 6 (even though people don't normally roll in till like 7ish in the summer). More than likley, some of the cars will remain in the lot as superfly starts and people will just park around them. Most of the classic croud will hate the "youngins" and their cars & hit the road as soon as their event is over but i'd assume some will be curious and stick around.

Only time will tell.

there will be less cluster on entrance way soon and augie appreciates all of the people that kept the parking lot clean.
