Quaker City Raceway will host StreetWarriorz Saturday, July 19.

Tickets are $15 for the party, race, show and audio competition.

Featuring: Drag Racing, Car Show, Car Audio Competition, Bikini Contest, Exotic Exhibition Vehicles

I've never been, but it doesn't sound like an entirely bad time...

Event over all was kinda lame, filled with tons of rice. Although Kurt Brown was out there tearing it up! with a 9.98@152mph! best mph of the day for him was 154 from what I saw before I left. He was having issues with 2nd gear engaging and had to granny shift it thus causing him to fall out of boost. If only he was able smack 2nd hes looking easy low 9's.

Funny thing about his car, this stupid full out dragster goes out there runs a low 9 and only traps 140. Kurt drove his shit from PA with open DP, and full slicks. Then drives home. God I love it! +40mph 2nd half of the track?! mmmhmmm. Must be any amazing feeling.

Other than that, show was meh.

I can't believe how little time I spent there for $15. My main complaint was whoever that DJ was yelling profanities and hitting on girls while I was trying to enjoy the sound of burnouts.

I did a lap through grid, paddock and watched a few runs but couldn't convince myself to stay. (I got off work late and missed all of tech/registration.) Then again, I should know better than going to the drag strip by myself and expecting to have fun...

I liked the concept of StreetWarriorz, but, yeah, it was pretty lame.
