I've tuned a 12.0:1 honda on pump gas to 14psi from a 60trim t3/t4 and it made 420whp and lasted 24 thousand miles that way! Nothing but hard driveing and road course track every weekend.

A car that should have 12:01 or has had a different head installed, thicker hg etc? I know it CAN be done, but your timing maps have to be like non-existant and lazy down low, or be on constant race gas/e85/meth.

Non e85 pump, I think 12:01 + boost on the street would be a tough swing, and why not just let the turbos do the work? I mean you can only really get so much cylinder pressure before the heat levels are through the roof, etc.

How come your shit doesn't last that long?

;) *cheapshot* ;)

12:1 isn't that crazy.. just need a good tune.

my shit hasn't lasted very long because i've had poor judgement with bearing clearances on my dart block. My previous motor, the LS lasted almost 30k worth of abuse. And that car gets heavily abused. But ever since i installed a honda crankshaft this summer i haven't had anymore problems with bearing clearances. I now have 3 eagle cranks burned up sitting on the shelf.

If you don't wanna believe me on the 12:1 car, then talk to the owner. It's well known in the cortland area. His name is Eric.
