Life sucks...

So my Miata is slightly damaged. It was parked outside last night and the wind gusts blew a barrel into the rear bumper. (thanks Dad for having an empty barrel beside my car!) Needless to say, it is all scratched up and has some paint missing. I'm guessing it could be touched up but I don't think I could live with that, it will probably need a new bumper cover+paint. I'm hoping that home owner's insurance will cover this. No clue. I woke up last night to the wind howling and I had a bad feeling something was going to hit it. More reason to build another garage (already have a 4 stall).

Yeah I know. It is just an inconvenience that I don't need right now. It is just a car, but I try to keep my cars perfect. I'm glad it isn't on the metal though. I guess I'll get an estimate whenever the roads clear up. I will probably get screwed and have to pay. My parents are blaming me for this some how. I told them to find out about the insurance.

I just recently slide into somthing with my front bumper. It stinks because I really could use the money for other stuff then to drop some bills on painting and fixing the front of the car. But you cant changed the past, so i just sucked it up and made it perfect again. I guess its all you can do :(

Auto-x, road course, add a pinch of power and its like a go-cart.

ACV, you talking the STI a while back in SC? or did you hurt the Wagon?

Hmmm no "street racing" for me. :nono:

I get my thrills from hitting a curvy back road on a nice day, top-down, listening to the car. But I do break the speed limit there.

Oh and occasionally an Auto-x.

I honestly don't understand why more people don't own these. They're cheap, RWD, quick, and reliable. I guess retarded people just don't want to be seen in one. When you drive it, you just feel like you're part of the car. Only way to describe it. Or as Cory said, it is like driving a go-kart. The only car I can think of that I would want more is the Ariel Atom. Ahhh someday.

But yeah, I got an estimate today...almost $1,000. I'll probably have to pay $500 of it. But I think I'll get an employee discount which will help.

The only things I personally like about the Miata is it's rwd and it has a 50/50 weight distribution. It's not the fact that people don't know that, it's the fact that it comes off as a hardcore chick car, or worse if you catch my drift. I never did like them and I could never see myself trying to act serious about one either. I understand the whole thing about cruising in a 2 seat roadster, handiling, auto-x, etc. But that's not a car I would ever choose to become "1 with".

I'm sure Batman would have a very fun drive before he fights crime.

I won't get defensive. I am usually the first to joke about this to my friends. Really though, I have only had a few people make the gay comment. I would say mostly people over 60 drive them. Which is alright by me, insurance is cheap!

Why don't they put in a DOHC I-6 in instead of a dinosaur V8? I-6's are more efficient?

no they are just cooler. I6's are also longer than v-8's... that might explain something.

Sometimes I feel like I'm getting into arguements with toddlers with down syndrome over here

No shit the I6 is gonna have a way worse time fitting, and they ARE the most balanced motor...not that it makes it a better argument, but its true.

It's like someone gets sand in their vagina and tries to carry it through as many threads as they can

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought the Miata was awarded the best sports car in 1990. They are a blast to drive.

Of course, ignorance is bliss on crux......or at least with our two closeminded buttbuddy breathern.

1990 was 18 years ago, but I could be wrong, so let me check my calender.. Yep, it was and they haven't changed anything since 1990..

Point being?

So, there's fun new shit...you can also pick one of these cars up for like 2-3k and have alot of fun.

Obviously there were ALOT of cool cars out in 1990, I'm asking to give the merit it deserves.

I did. I said the only thing I like about it is it's rwd and has a 50/50 weight distribution (i.e, handles awesome). But thats ALL the merit it's going to get from me. It's still an ugly bitch/fag car.
