be it known that they're doing 1/8th mile on fridays this year. Might as well go to Sunset on Sunday and get 20 runs in for only $15, but thats just my opinion...

Yeah they are only doing 1/8 mile, thats sooooooooo gay......... Im probably not even gonna go except on some Saturdays and for the Steel Valley Nationals, and maybe some other special events. I was so pissed when I first heard about this.

I wish someone else would own the track and do it right.

Well heres my point, there is nothing wrong with 1/8 mile. But if I wanted to run 1/8th mile, I would go to an 1/8 mile track.... but quaker is a quarter mile track, and they are probably charging the same amount of money probably to get in, so I feel like Im getting ripped off.

So I decided to go out there this past Friday because it was so nice out, and to see how bad they screwed this thing up.

And to be honest, it wasnt as bad as I expected it to be, things went pretty smoothly for the most part. And how they ran it was different, basically if you wanted to race the street legal, no box, or box class, it was 1/8 mile. BUT, if you were just T&T, it was 1/4 mile. So if your just there to see what ur car will do, you can still run 1/4 mile. And it seems like they are paying more attention to the T&T guys and having them run like a separate class every round, not like every two rounds when they used to ignore the test and tuners.

Im am gonna be out there next Friday with a few of my buddies if anyone wants to head out there.

Yeah i mean i cant make any promises obviously, and I was running in the no box class, but it seemed like they ran them every round like they would a regular class.

And it was $25 to race or T&T

Maybe they listened to my suggestion I gave them about that. If anyone went to Steel Valley Nationals last year, they had 4 full lanes of street tire cars, a lane of motorcycles, two lanes of slick cars, and two lanes of racecars. They would let every class but street tire run twice before they ran street tire. So I complained to Quaker and SVN about it, and they said they would change it for this year.

Well part of the problem is/was that some of the guys in the street legal class would make their pass, and them come right back for another which in turn drags out that class and makes everyone else wait, hopefully the track will do better of monitoring this and also do a better job running street legal as often as they run other classes
