I have a picture of that evo that you got the kit off of around here somewhere, did he still have those black rims with the red little pin striping on them?

Does the new evo have the same motor as the previous ones? Those older ones can take some hp for a stock engine. I like the recaro seats and the 4 doors, makes a great family car IMO. Then add some go fast goodies and wa la 12 second maybe 11 second dd.

The new EVO X is not the same powerplant. Different motor and tranny. Its a B11 Mitsu motor thats all aluminum head and block. Sounds like it may become a good car but its to early to say. Plus the new evo is 250lbs heavier than previous models. The best evo to buy would be the evo ix which I have but with the SE pkg on it. U get the all aluminum roof, upgraded front lip spoliers, BBS wheels, and red stiched recaro seats!

Plus, you can make an evo 8 or 9...run 9's in the 1/4 and still be your DD. David Buschur actually does drive his everyday to work when its nice out. He just made a pass with a HTA35r on it at 9.95 i believe! Thats with full interior as it left the factory, power steering, and ac.

I remember a Silver car and a Black car with his name all scripted down the side of it this past year out at DW42 the Silver car was running in the low 12's - 11.70's range....seemed maybe it was getting tuned and the black car was running 10.50-1030's all day. Spoke with the guy driving the silver car claim it was making in the 550whp range and the black was on the verge of breaking 900whp...pretty impressive I must say. Left like bottle rockets to.

Fast AWD toys always seem to make awesome DDs 8)

My buddy Trent drives the silver one and races the fastest black one for them. He works there as a fabricator, good guy and very smart.

the black was Kurt Brown, and I know the day you are speaking of, he was only around mid 5's 600 that day. He has broken 900 I do believe now.

if the silver was only running low 12's high 11's, he most likely was full of shit and on factory turbo, unless he was just a horrid driver.
