If that t/a runs what it's supposed to or better, I don't think that VW is gonna be able to run it down if it were even able to run anyhow.

A4 come out HARD off the line, especially on the street.

I've yet to see a fwd anything that does the job on the street, using street tires.

I ran one of your buddies VWs with my stock lt1, who had it all talked up.....I spun my ass off and still got him 8 times no matter the excuse.

Even if this one is fast, I don't see it doing much from a dig
It whistles while it WORKS.

This kid's funny...

And you won't be diggin with me...I'll be out rolling waiting for ya dirt.

Before you even start to whine why I won't go from a dig, it's b/c the Jetta isn't setup nor will it ever be set up to drag race. It'll be running to show it's power, not it's ability to leave the line. Your T/A can do the same thing...show what it's got once it's moving.

If you aren't down with that, don't even bring $$ to boardman.

I forget his name, might be rick.

black 4dr jetta....all i wanted to do was come show my buddy my 'new' car.....i got a huge pitch on how his vw would eat my car and him laughing a bunch. I was like ' I don't really care but whatever'

He jumpeda little on the 1st honk, the first run (he wouldn't do a dig at first) and I went for it. Somehow I still hear about this leaving on the first honk nonsense when he got his shit kicked 8 times in a row after that.

We went from digs, rolls, 1st and 2nd gear rolls.....he kept having new excuses and he kept losing worse every time I could get closer to traction and being in the right gear. His last run was the most embarrasing from a 30 roll when I kept it in 1st and then ran it through 3rd to actually show him some cars.

He's supposed to be building an old jetta. Me and Lovitz rode with him to NAIAS in detroit and he talked alot, damn near rolled his gf's trailblazer driving like a ricer fuck (pissed me off ALOT cause my gf was in the car and it freaked her out)

I guess thats my $.05 worth. I think I've only met like 2 VW kids in my life I could put up with anyhow. Most are straight up weird ass kids.

(and I'm sure I'll hear it through some gossip channel since i've made fun of him now....so sue me)

Ok, and another thing

If your car isn't set up for drag, why the hell are you trying to call out cars who ARE and then changing the terms?

Seems rather childish.

But don't forget, he is called the "Street Racing Legend" not 1/4 mile legend sooo, Sav is kinda in the right.

1/4 mile is about quick cars, rolls are for fast cars. Dont get me wrong I like them both, thus why I do both.

Also most likely that VW was stock turbo, shit talkers. Im sure Lovitz got a kick out of it lol.

I like how you call someone who's 6 years your senior "a kid".

Joe Dirt drove Mopars.

Mine's not set up for drag racing either (though I can change that with a few tweaks) and that doesn't stop me from racing from a dig. "Roll racing" is for fwd ricers with turbos bigger than thier engines that can't spool up fast enough and for people who can't drive. Just learn how to launch, it isn't that hard.

I don't street race in Boardman, I grew out of that years ago. :nono: I'll see you at Quaker. Make sure your boost is turned up, you're gonna need it, kiddo.

Then why is it that all of the 8 second/9 second street cars at "the spot" all race from a dig then? Oh wait, you weren't down there all summer, I forgot..

You must not know much about cars. I can launch my car at 2.5k (and did) at quaker on street tires and still spin. Actually anywhere i go if I mash on it in 1st 2nd or 3rd gear my tires dont hook up at all. Are you that stupid?

No I'm not talking aout me or Gary, I'm talking about people in another club, but I'm not naming any names. That spot was perfect. Helluva lot safer than your I-680 roll racing freeway bullshit that you always want to call people out on...

exactly, now any powerful car will have traction issues regardless of FWD or RWD platform on the street. With a very sticky set of rubbers a RWD is obviously at an advantage since weight transfer is in its favor.

Thus the same reason a RWD "street" car can crank out 1.2-1.4 60ft's and FWD cannot... which id hope most of you knew. Its just how the laws of physics work.
