torquey as hell and 15s dont compute in my head, sorry

My car semi lacks top end power. This motor came out of a CRV and is made for towing. Honda's don't need a ton of torque to move them since they are so light. My guess on my track times are an average of what I'v seen on forums and such. I feel I'm an ok driver, not the best in a straight line, so that obviously will effect my times. The only thing I;v really raced in it was a stock 5.0 mustang convertible 5 speed and beat him by a car length. So I figure that was a good round figure until I can get to the track next year.

Beating a stock 5 liter Mustang convertable isn't really an accomplishment. I beat an automatic version in my old '92 S10 blazer 4x4 WAY back in the day. My basically stock GTP will pwn them all day long (I even beat that white '98 Cobra that used to ride around Bman all the time with it) and I wouldn't even waste my gas in my T/A racing one of those..

Id bet with the average driver they are slower than that... Especially if they have stock rear end gears.

Nah, that's what they run with an average driver, but thats pathetically slow. Of course, we're discussing the '94-'95 version here. The '87-'93 were a little faster because of their lighter weight and less restrictive exhaust. But still slow.

Yea....mine BARELY cracked a 14 stock. 14.9 at like 89mph and some change :?

They definately are pathetically slow, yet still seem to be 'the car to beat' by ricer standards.

Honestly, will all I've done to mine, it should be a good run with a bolt on LS1

funk ford and their no displacment having asses.....so lame.

Speed aside, I think mine sounds/looks badass :)

I'm not gloating about it, I'm just saying thats really the only car I have ever ran against. My car is by no means fast. I have respect for all aspects of the car world, whether it be 4 6 or 8 cylinders. As long as it's quick and not riced out thats all I care about.

Need to get the full length subframes (sold the old ones) and the gears in and some slicks

Car was tuned by Powerhouse Automotive LLC.

Made 296/315 to the wheels on their mustang dyno.

A stock 5.0 will dyno @ 160rwhp there.

Should go somewhere in the mid 12s on motor @ 110ish

Like to hit it with a 125 shot come spring..... :P

Just FYI as to not sound bias, I've a 95 t/a too, it's just stock and a daily.

After some pissing with my bro's 99 z28, I'd really like an LS1. I do like my LT! m6 car tho 8)

Sounds pretty mean... I guess the only thing I don't like about some people is just because I drive a Honda, I'm automatically a ricer. That is pretty irritating in my book.

Yeah, It should be a good run with a bolt on, non cam car.

I guess I'll see. I wish I didnt have so much into it...There's no way in hell I'd build it again. If I wouldv'e known I'd have my old job/income level back, I'd have never have started on it, and would've bought my black 99+ WS6 6spd car like I've always wanted.

......Oddly enough, that STILL might happen :?

Depends on how this turd wants to run. What's done to yours? Any #s?

It ran 13.2@106 @ Quaker from the factory. No clue what it will do now. It's got some tweaks..

That's badass. I can't wait for summer and get a few passes in with my brothers Z28. Those cars' respond to like ANYTHING. All I did was get it running good (needed a TPS and a few other things), and its been fun as hell since. I cut out the ridges in the stock air box, and he tossed a SLP LM1 on it, and thats IT. I bet it traps 105ish with a damn paper filter.

I love how my stang looks, the sound and my 8.8.....but that's getting near the end. It's nice that I can tear it down easy so it makes it a nice project car.

Going from a stock GT to a stock LT1 though should have anyone asking why the fuck they even bothered with a 5.0. Really it's pathetic. No doubt in my mind I could cracked 13s stock in my t/a with some tires. I had to literally bog the hell out of 1st to make the pass I did.

Unless you really love the car, and want to do a heavy power adder or a stroker, they seem kinda moot to me.

I swear it was way easier to go faster in my shitbox DSM

ford honestly puts no $ into the gt motors whatsoever, been getting waxed by gm cars right out of factory since the early 90's... yet ur paying almost the same amount of $ for the car

Thats why i just bought a 6cyl and swapped it myself lol, u gotta scrap everything but the block anyway even if u bought a v8 lol

I paid $2300 for a decenty clean excellent running 5spd GT

So, I couldn't really pass it up. I'd be hard pressed to have a cheaper swapped car.

I've like @14k in it now incl the car.

I'd rather have a 10k LS1 with 4k in mods :x
