roll racing is still weaksauce. period. its not even half the fun of racing from a dig even if you have shit for traction. at least when you have shitty traction theres something you have to DO. like actually drive the car. its not really that complicated to get up to a speed where the tires wont break loose, and put it to the floor and start shifting, even though brett cant even do that very well

and stop saying things like "your time is all in the tires". thats bs. thats just as stupid as when people say, oh i ran a 13.5 but with some slicks id run 12's for sure. ok well that MIGHT be true but you have no clue until you actually DO it. and if you put those tires on your car brett you have no idea what you would run, you just wish you would run a 13.3.

You see that shit on the eastern seaboard or lower altitude tracks on a REAL good day ie. Norwalk, but even that is only a few tenths. 13.0s - 12.9s if you can get the clutch to hold and you have a freak car...but going by my past experiences, its likely NOT to happen.

if you dont like the track thats fine, lots of people dont like it. but my guess is the reason you dont like it is because you get pwned by alot of the cars there, at the track youre just another slow camaro. and the opposite is true on the street. so if you like picking on slow cars from a roll cuz ur shit traps at like 103 thats fine if its fun for you, but dont talk shit on the track when it is obviously the superior venue, i.e. safer than the street, legal, fair starting, clearly defined winner, flat road with superior traction than any street, etc etc.

You'll find out soon enough how cheap racing at Quaker is compared to a street racing ticket. Even if the track was open every weekend all year round, it would only cost you $1300 to run every weekend. But considering they are only open so many months a year, plus Ohio's weather, it's a lot less then that.

Uh, yeah sure.. I started to realize how lame the track was when those rednecks were fighting on the track. I was sitting in the staging lanes all sweaty, listening to mix of Lynard Skynard and awful noisy V8s, wearing this helmet that was so tight it was painful, waiting to race an Oldsmobile Alero or some track only POS, and I was paying for this shit. Superior traction? LOL! I was spinning tires going into second gear every run, I've done that ONCE on the street when I was test driving the car and never again.

The technology age is the shit. I found that my dynolicious app is spot on with most cars (mine, friends Trailblazer, dads Bonne, etc.) so why even go to the track then? I can go behind my house, get 4 runs in then go home, all within 10 minutes. I realize that some people cant do this, if I had a track only POS this wouldn't work because my shitbox would just overheat or die, but I'm sure those people can even find a way to make it work.

It's like putting a sock in your pants. Sure, your car runs the same time as a C6 Z06 at the track, now race on the streets from a roll eliminating traction.. quite the different result. i've already gotten caught. twice. 120 the first time and 190 the second. still cheaper. but the point is not to get caught. the first time i was a stupid 16 year old kid and i was redlight draging my slow ass six shooter camaro on 224. and the second time yet again being stupid in the ss playing "catch me if you can" on the highway with some evo. i knew he was faster. i was just being a dick. and i payed the price. (100 mph ticket ) i try to be a smarter about it now.

i didnt bitch about the 7 second cars, they are awesome. and they all run box or super pro, which is not my class. i run no box. thats all neither here nor there, your saying all you race at the track is the clock? thats total bs. you can line up against ANYONE you want at the track, its not exactly complicated just park next to them in the lanes, and boom you will run them. did you talk to anyone there to see what they run? did you ask anyone who you thought would run similar to you to race them? you can race anyone you want, in eliminations its a little different, but once you lose you can just switch over to test and tune and keep running all night. and again in the TT lanes you can line up with whoever you want. in fact you can skip the whole bracket racing thing all together if you want and just run test and tune, its just stupid because then you dont get 5 of your dollars back and you get skipped in round 1.

i would LOVE to see you race noah from a dig, i think that would be a really good race. you would be reeling him in up top, but it would be really close, probably worth a best of 3. and what do you mean by mid 13? 13.5? I dont think you have the hp to run a 13.5, not even on dr. my guess is more like 13.8, but im not saying you cant do it, just that 13.5 would be optimistic, and actually really awesome if you could pull it off. let me know when you source some dr's, ill head to the track that day for sure.

so what exactly did i misrepresent? dont worry in person im still gonna tell you that roll racing is lame, and the track is a better place to race than the street. dont you remember after i mauled your car i was asking why you guys dont race from a dig? and you said there is no good place, and i said sure there is just not in boardman. you only think slicks are lame because you dont have them, i think everyone can see that.

I'm going to go over this one last time.

1) You love the track. Thats fine. I get it. However, saying someone is "crying" because they're offering their views and giving some valid points just makes you look like you have an extreme case of butthurt. I hate the track, you love it. You hate roll racing, I love it. Get over it.

2) Slicks are lame. I don't hate them because I don't have them, what the hell kind of arguement is that? By your definition I guess you only hate roll racing because you don't do it? Just a tip: It's actually the reverse. Most people don't have/do things *because* they dislike them. I don't want slicks, I never will have slicks. They serve one purpose: To make your car run faster at a track, NO other reason. You cant use them on the street, like you could an engine mod for example. Believe me, DR's are great, I plan to run them myself, but I'll be leaving them at street pressure, and I'll remember that from a roll, DR's can't help me. Like I said, you may run C6 Z06 times, but your car is not even close to being as fast as one.

3) Where is this going? For real, I don't have a problem with you, I think you're on OK guy, but why the constant hate? You don't like the way we race, OK, keep it to yourself. Neither of us are going to change how we do things, so why not just accept that different people like different things? I didn't come on here to defend what I love, I came on here to accept a race offer. Kinda sad when some people try to suck the fun out of everything just because it's not what they enjoy

i wasnt going to get in to this but i have to agree roll racing proves nothing....it takes no talent.... a 16 year old that cant drive for shit can go take out the car mommy and daddy bought him and win races if he has a higher trap....dig racing takes more skill.period. that isnt even arguable
