WELL I stuck. No one will make me a custom exhaust for longtubes on my car. and no one makes a system for it. So im stuck buing a y-pipe and shorty headers which I need to sell my blazer to get money to do it. So damn! I am going wit a flowmaster or flowtech muffler probaly. Im not really sure yet becaue I have to buy a 3 " inlet and dual 2 1/2 out let if i use a Y- pipe.

You can run longtubes, and true duals if you're not planning on tucking the car down real low. Otherwise you will have to fab up a Y-pipe. You can use that ovaled tubing to clear the floorpan.....assuming you have a welder.

I REALLY need to buy one :(

If you have access to a welder just do DIY. Only hard part will be going over the rear end. Or just dump em right before the rear like I did a few times

Well i guess i'll ad to it WTF. i got a holley carb on it now a mean shift kit a custom cold air kit, A 3.73 posi the one I put in is kinda screwd up but i bought another one. A COMPLETE NEW EXHAUST! Y- pipe and cat back, DO NOT GO TO DOUGLAS MUFFLERS FOR ANYTHING HE WILL RIP U OFF BAD! And a cutout.

I took it to the track with the open 3.42 rear end with bald stock tires and ran a 14.1 at 99mph Spinning when i launch at 1/4 pedal. And that was without the cutout ,cold air kit and the holley ( i had a P.O.S. edelbrock on it) so im looking at a mid to low 13 i would guess with traction. Im happy with that for a while. :D

Thanks man, O yeah thats exactly what i was thinking. I like the blue but i dont know if i want to change it from grey if i paint it. I also kinda like the Mustang grey i think its called mineral grey or something or maybe a gun metal grey IDK. when most people see the blue block they say "what is this, a ford" I dont really care I just like the color even tho it is ford blue :lol: .

i know a kid with (well is probably getting) a mostly stock wrx who wants to run you man.... i mean my car is a slow crusty pile of shit, but man his car would demolish yours. im just gonna ride around with him and talk shit to people who actually do work to their cars, and laugh when he beats them. if he happens to lose ill make some bullshit excuse up about bad gas or some sensor throwin the check engine light. plus ill say that it runs that it runs like 1.5 seconds faster at the track than it actually does. ill only post the videos on youtube of him whoopin ass on minivans and kias and v6 mustangs n shit, that way it seems real fast.

Well saying i have a 1/4 of money in my car then as i would with a newer LS1 Im pretty happy. I know it will rape LT1's at the track(Cough cough brett's) Anyway the motors coming back out this winter again anyway. It not that big of a deal. I would like to get some trickflows for it. And my trans is shit so I need to find a t5 for it. o yeah and since when is andys Z28 stock. I thought it sopose to run low 12's not mid/high 13's. Tell andy i want a rematch SOON and from a dig. :o

Well ok let me put some tires on my car then what?? He's 3 tenths faster than me in a 1/4 and i launched with a single stock bald 215/60/15 tire at 1/4 throttle and didnt even floor it until mid 2nd gear,And on top of that I did quite a few more mods soooooo WTF?. and a completely stock ls1 would not beat me. Maybe a SLP LS1 car IDK.

No, I said I'd run faster than 13.5. I actually think I could have run a 13.3-4 but I had to really go easy on the launches. If you listen to the vids my car was burning the tires going into 2nd, it only occasionally does that on the street. I'm sure that with a set of DR's 12s will happen. If business picks up this winter I'll be a little faster next year. Just a little bit. The Z wont be at the track possibly ever again, I got similar results from a Gtech so I'm not wasting my cash. The Kia will be there this fall to clean out the brackets though :lol:

Anyways Jason when are you going to get out here? I want to hear how your car sounds with the cutout now. Post up a vid or something.

andy trapped at 102, which is where most stock ls1 cars trap. riceklr you trapped at 99, roll, dig, whatever, that three mph is going to be hard to overcome. a BONE STOCK LS1 with a decent driver would have NO trouble taking care of a 14.1@99 car. shit in about two hours noahs gonna have a 4cyl that will take care of your car no problem. (im trying to get better at nutswingin brett how am i doin?)

and btw it doesnt take me 6 months to do simple things like put headers on my car so i guess thats why i have so much free time :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

I had just wanted to run from a roll to see how my shit would stack up currently, as I know I'm not going to stand a chance on street tires from a dig.

I think i ran that car GREAT for the traction it had. I think i launched it near perfect my final run which was 1/4 throttle. And whats with you saying I know someone that can beat you? No shit a bunch of people can beat me. I know a guy with a 960HP(to the wheels) 88 trans am That could smoke anyone in this place.. So what?? Yeah i am pretty new to the whole drag racing thing :lol: worse 60' times usually net higher trap speeds, it is very likely that if you get your car to hook the mph will come down a little. in some cases it goes up, i personally have had that happen, but more often than not when you hook better your mph goes down. if youve ever taken a car to the track, then made some modifications to it and took it back to see how you did, you would know that 3mph is a big deal, and you wouldnt make yourself look so stupid saying dumb shit. what was your 60' anyway? i guess it doesnt really matter im just a dumbshit i wouldnt know what it means anyway :lol: :lol: :lol:

What are u talking about? I got cast heads and a stock bottom end. It just has new bearing and flat top pistons. i have a 2 1/2 inch exhaust which is restricting it thats why i bought a cutout to try and help which it did help the uper rpm's. The heads i got are just ok heads there nothing great just better than the smog heads i had to start with. how do u figure worse 60' time is a better trap speed? If u can launch harder and you get to you 60' foot faster and your at a faster speed there why would ur car slow down for the rest of the 1/4? yeah u are a dumbshit no joke. the heads on my car are used so well why not just say they are junkyard heads. they do a 1.6 full roller rockers but still.
? whats the differents they were originally on a mud truck. i have $100 summit intake that leaks and sucks balls and a STOCK 700r4 trans with a Servo kit and a cooler. Considering i launched with a bald single tire thats probaly older than me, yeah 14.1 is great. The tire i had on the car when i raced shredded when i launced it in front of my house like a few day after i went to the track and scratched my car a little... Dude ur forgeting half of making a car fast. Its not just the engine its everything in a good combo. I have a stock convertor thats stalls at maybe 1200rpm if im lucky.....My cams powerband starts at 2200rpm and of course u know i had a junk rear end at the time. If i had more money i would finish my combo and buy a 5 speed or convertor and some good tires so it could launch REAL nice. but im broke. So its not my motors fault why it ran olny a 14.1 its mine for not having money to finish my combo with a stall convertor or 5 speed and tires.
And just for the record not all LS1's are in the 13's The goats are pretty slow with the ls1's. There like mid 14's all day on stock ones. The LS2 one ar pretty quick thou.

? whats the differents they were originally on a mud truck. i have $100 summit intake that leaks and sucks balls and a STOCK 700r4 trans with a Servo kit and a cooler. Considering i launched with a bald single tire thats probaly older than me, yeah 14.1 is great. The tire i had on the car when i raced shredded when i launced it in front of my house like a few day after i went to the track and scratched my car a little... Dude ur forgeting half of making a car fast. Its not just the engine its everything in a good combo. I have a stock convertor thats stalls at maybe 1200rpm if im lucky.....My cams powerband starts at 2200rpm and of course u know i had a junk rear end at the time. If i had more money i would finish my combo and buy a 5 speed or convertor and some good tires so it could launch REAL nice. but im broke. So its not my motors fault why it ran olny a 14.1 its mine for not having money to finish my combo with a stall convertor or 5 speed and tires.
And just for the record not all LS1's are in the 13's The goats are pretty slow with the ls1's. There like mid 14's all day on stock ones. The LS2 one ar pretty quick thou.

i dont know why you just re-wrote out all longer the exact same shit i said, fresh bottom end IS new bearings/rings, and you even have new pistons. for the components your motor has, 99mph is garbage. i know that a worse 60' is a better trap speed because ive been to the track alot, obviously you havent. its just the way it usually works, its not my fault you dont understand it.

when i say ls1 car i mean 6 speed camaro/firebird, those gtos with the 5.7 are pigs.

im not forgetting shit about what it takes to make a car run fast, have you seen my car run?

it still kills me how people will dump tons of money into a motor, but never even think about trying to get it to hook. then they are always like "well with some good tires id run this blah blah blah", i got news for you pal, thats bullshit until you actually run the time. put some slicks on your car and twist that fucker up and pop your t-tops out, or shatter that piece of shit ten bolt then tell me all you need is tires.

To be technical my car doesnt have a motor it has and engine. a motor runs on electricity. :geek: And my car has no t-tops. Yes the 10 bolt sucks. the 700r4 is the worse trans EVER made by anyone. And you know what i agree 100% with ya. Right now my car runs a 14.1 at 99mph. The motor has nothing to do with it in my case. And yeah ur right if ur car dont hook and runs a 14.1 then yeah its a 14 second car until it does run a 13 or whatever. The reason it runs a 14.1 is because i didnt have enough money to finish it with a good rear end tires and a trans. If i get a higher stall or 5 speed and launch it at say 2400 rpm -3500 rpm and it hooks yeah it will twist the frame. I got to tie the subframe first. All in time when i get some money and put a decent set of tires on it I am confident it will break the 13's over 100mph as it sits. Heck by the time im done with tires and trans and rear end i bet it could get in the lower/mid 13's. Right now if i hooked I dont think id have a problem with anything since my car launches a 1200 rpm preloading it. the Rear end already has the slightly bigger 7-5/8" ring rear with a 3.73 with a broke posi. I have another carrier with a posi in it but it takes 28 spline axles which i have to buy. But yeah ur right, right now i have a good low 14 second car until i run a 13. But since i went to the track i did some stuff so i might be able to get over 100mph trap speed.
