Just got this tonight. If ya look close you cas see the subaru hiding behind it. Man this truck is nice. And after my GM discount and rebates it was only 21 grand.5.3 liter with 3.73 gears and tow package.

yeah I have car payments. Never did school loans though been in the army for almost 8 years.

anyway I was wanting to cut it and put a bullet in it dumped straight down, but was told that since I have the 5.3 that the active fuel management [shutting down to 4 cyl. when up to speed] that any aftermarket exhaust will screw up the truck. That with this engine it wont function properly with anything other than stock.
Is this true or not? Need some sound and the stock exhaust wont cut it.

Doubtful. I can research it a little for you, but I seriously doubt a catback will effect your d.o.d...

thanks man appreciate it. I talked to a guy lastnight who has his exhaust done on an 07. He sais it is fine and he has had it for over 20000 miles. He just told me that when it drops to 4 you can defenatly tell by the sound it sounds like its misfiring but in a way it is misfiring since half the engine shut down. He said I will get used to it so I am getting it put on in the morning.

a buddy of mine has a new dodge 1500 with the same type of deal... when its on 4 cyl it sounds like ass...keep the exhaust stock
