Court in 2 days, need some help!

Well, I need some help fast because I have court on Thursday for a speeding ticket.
It's my first ticket and I'm 16, so I have to go to juvenile court.
I was clocked doing 88mph in a 65mph on 11 going towards Canfield by a State Trooper I guess.
I was pulled over at the exit at Canfield. When I was pulled over, there were 2 other people who were pulled over also. I only remember one of them was a red Cavalier specifically because I was driving behind him for a while until I realized he was going to fast and let off.
The officer told me I was clocked by a radar by air. I read this thing he gave me and it said that I was caught by a helicopter and then they called the officer on the ground to pull me over.
Here's the best story I can give which is pretty close to the truth, to be honest, I don't really remember what all happened.
I got on the highway on 11 going towards Canfield and there was a red Cavalier in front of me. I kept constant with his speed for a bit until I realized he was going to fast because I passed up 2 cars pretty quick. So I let off and continue going about 68-70mph for the next 3 or so miles. That red Cavalier was gone. Then at the exit, I saw the Cavalier pulled over and another car. Then the officer pulls me over.
So, now my court date is on Thursday. I had a lawyer, but he bailed on me, now I'm really worried.
I told my friends that story that I'm going to tell the judge, but they all say that the judge will think I'm lying. And also, if the cop and pilot is there, they would say something. Will the cop AND the pilot be there? Or only the cop who pulled me over? All my friends tell me to plea no contest, but I really don't know what to do. I don't want to get my license suspended, that's all. All my friends who have gotten pulled over for speeding have gotten their license suspended. But worst of all, it's freaking summer. And I'm still trying to find a job. If I get my license suspended, it's gonna be tough.
Is it smart to try and fight the ticket even if it was a speed trap? I can think of so many reasonable/believable excuses (well to me I think they are), though the judge may not buy it.
So, what should I say when court comes?

Which court are you going to? Girard? Because the magistrate there is Finnamore (sp) and he is actually a really cool guy. When you go to court the cop wont be there and neither will the pilot. If you plead not guilty, they will set a trial date, which the cop will be there for sure, I dont know about the pilot though. Just tell the judge what
really happened, and plead no contest. No matter for how short of a time you were indeed speeding, so you can't really be mad if you get your license suspended. I got a ticket when I was 17, and they gave me the option of work privlelages which doubles the length of your suspension. In my case i took 30 days with no privelages instead of 60 with them. I just drove everyday anyway and didnt speed or do anything stupid, (not that I am recommending you do that

) I hope you are in fact going to girard court, because if you get Finnamore (sp) as your judge/magistrate he might actually believe you and cut you some slack or throw it out. He straight threw out a seatbelt ticket I got once, he said "do you normally wear your seatbelt", i said "yeah", and he just threw it out.

You should just end up at the mahoning county juvenile center, no matter where you got pulled over. Wear something nice, be respectful, and make them see that you realize it was dumb. Even if you don't think so. You'll shit when you see the white trash motherfuckers and thugs that will be in there with you. Hopefully if the judge is in a good mood, he'll drop it to a non moving violation and give you a warning kinda deal. That what happened to me the first time, and I was doing 20 over. The second time around I got my license suspended ha

I'm going to the juvenile court in Youngstown. Something E Scott street.
Yeah so the best thing for me is plea no contest and tell him that story? I mean, it really is the truth.
And you're right, I was speeding either way, but I wasn't paying attention, though that is no excuse and ignorance is not tolerated.
If I try to get driving priviledges, the suspension doubles? I was going to tell them I work for my mom and run alot of errands for her so I need to drive even though it's not an official job, and I don't really work for her. I just want to say that so I can drive around.
But let's say they do give me priviledges for that, and say I get pulled over because they know that my lic is susp. Can I say that I'm running errands for her as my job and they'll believe that? Or will they only pull me over if I have done something wrong and not because they know my lic is sus.

I do realized it was stupid, and I regret it so much because I felt so much guilt and felt like a disappointment. Plus, I had a passenger and I endangered her.
I dont know how I'm going to pour that out, I dont express emotions very well and I dont want to make it look like I'm trying to make a scene or someshit lol.
Should I tell the judge how I felt (regret, disappointment, dumb, etc) when I got the ticket? Cuz I dont want to just be like, out of nowhere "I'm sorry, I know it was wrong....dadada" when it's out of line to speak.

The dood is gonna talk to you like a concerned parent, since it's the juvenile system and all. So he will probably set you up for a remorseful speech. When I went, it was like "You were doing 20 over? That's pretty fast." and then I went "Yeah it was really dumb, blah blah blah, shoulda been paying more attention..." so you'll be okay. I doubt you're gonna get suspended. You were going pretty fast, but you could just say you didn't realize it because of the other car going fast too.
We've all gone fast in our cars, and I honestly don't see a big deal when you're on a deserted freeway, etc. Christ, I drive my girlfriend's focus, and before I know it i'm doing 95. These newer cars you can't even tell that you're flying.

All my friends who have gone like 20ish over have gotten their license suspended. Though they aren't very good kids, and I know I am haha. Though I dont think the judge will see that.
Also, I just looked at the website of the courts. The department head clerk of courts name is Anthony Vivo.
I was like, wtf why does that name look so familiar?!?@?$?!$?@!%!
And then it hit me, a guy named Anthony Vivo sold me his 300ZX in Brunswick/Strongsville.
I dont know if he is the same dude or not lol, but it would be funny if it was.

too bad your not in girard, when i got a reckless op when i was 17 it was on belmont in liberty and i went to juvenile court in girard.
nick is right though if its your first time you have a good chance. he is also right about wearing a tie, and looking the judge in the face not staring at the floor like you got called to the princepals office. tell the truth, plead no contest and man up. the thing about work is that you need to have a documented work schedule i think, like an actual business that keeps a record of when you clock in and out, i highly doubt "running errands" for your mom meets that criteria. they mean like on your way to and from "work" (some business with an address) only, if youre not on that path, your probably sol. from what i remember they give you like a temporary permit/license piece of paper that says where you live and work, that way you can give it to the cop when he runs your shit and sees that your license is suspended.

like he said before, be damn sure u dress nice (suit if u have one) back when i had to go to juvi court for some lame ass ticket the person two seats infront of me was some trailor trash kid who wore fucking ripped jean shorts down to his ankles and some ratty tshirt. The judge took a big shit on him. Next kid gets called up, hes wearing a suit, judge takes one look at him and says out loud to make an example of it 'this is how you dress when you come to court' tells the kid i dont even care what you're ticket says, u can go.
was fucking awesome, dude was totally leanient to anyone who was nice and dressed up that day, i swear the guy threw out half the tickets.
either way, dress nice, be completely respectful (address him as sir, etc) and just state your case. if you believe you're story, u can make him believe it. more than liklely if its you're first offense he wont do much other than make u pay the court fees... unless u get some guy whos a toolbag.
either way, best of luck.

I didn't read anything in this thread but these four words will help you:
"I plead da fif'!"
If that doesn't work plead guilty because of insanity.

Well I went today, easiest shit ever.
I didnt see the judge at all.
My lawyer ended showing and he went in and talked to the judge magistrate.
License suspended for 30 days with priviledges and $77 fine. No points or anything on my record.
Hell yeah.

Lol
Was 16 when I got a 90 in a 65, 5 weeks after I got my L. Was pulled over with my buddy Brent. Went to juvy got your 77 dollar fine, and that was it. No points, no suspension, nota.
30 days isnt bad, I lost mine for 90 once, that sucked...

over 25 is, not 25 over.

The cop might have been being nice and lowered it, I was slowing down from 115 when I saw him... Young and stupid, now I'm wiser, older and half as stupid.

Well, my license is suspended but I have a question.
I have driving privileges to work and home.
Let's say I was driving to work. Am I allowed to stop by a place if it's on the way? Like McDonald's or Wendy's?
Also, let's say that as part of my job, I have to run errands and drive around to places, is that allowed if I'm told to by the manager/owner?

Yeah, make sure you carry all your paper work on you at all time. I was a pizza delivery boy when I lost mine, never had an issue. Just try not to break the law while driving during your suspension and you will be straight.

You all FAIL at driving. I've had 3 speeding tickets but luckily all after 18.

Hey now, when the ability of doubling the speed limit in a matter of a few seconds is obtainable, its a lot easier to get into trouble.
I've been clean for 3 years. "knocks on wood". I just learned a lot where its "safer" to fuck off from where its down right retarded to. (all you 224 hot shots.

)
