So I figure I would start a thread about stuff that im fixing on my car
First off the bat, I made a two bolts to pull my headers together. They didn't come with anything so I had to go and make something. I noticed a difference when I pulled them together and plus I don't have the annoying sounds of them vibrating now
The bolts look like this:
Here is what it looks like one the car
There are two of them the other is on top. Worked well I may take out that extra nut on the one though.

a spring should go there, you might want to put a lock washer on each side, then clamp solid. Those equal length?

spring setup would definatly be better because while it applies the pressure that you want in that area, it also has an amount of play that could be needed under load because thing will move a little and if they need to flex and can't, something will give, generally resulting in a crack somewhere.
Just food for thought, something to concider in future design's.

unequal, i dont think a spring would of worked, there was a pretty good gap there i can try it though its going to have to be a spring with a high spring rate

They are a really high rate spring. Usually a total whore to deal with wihout pliers and swearing. You can static mount the one end of the spring to the one tab, and just have it hook through the other...or have two hooks, but at least you won't ever lose the spring. That's how they do it on most factory setups. Go down to handyman or something, they'll have something for under $5 I'm sure.
