2009 GTR Thread

Yeah, I um love skylines, even if this one isn't called a skyline is basically that. I do wish the kept the I6 and the car had a 6 speed manual instead of a tiptronic.... However I have some test articles I'd like to share for those who haven't seen them.

Emunds Just did a full report on the car a few days ago, it comes with video
Its the Quickest production car they have ever tested to date.

http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do/Drives/FullTests/articleId=124017

The car was also tested around the Suzuka Circuit in Japan, here is its time compared with other cars.

http://www.fastestlaps.com/track4.html

Nissan really has done it, and finally are indroducing the car to the states. Its very fast down low do its superior AWD system. However judging by its trap speed it lacks up top for now... Another dislike is its weight almost 3800 lbs of fat ass.....

Hopefully the V-Spec model helps remove a good deal of that, and offers a 6 speed getrag up. ;)

Bottom line once modified this car should be an even bigger beast, with only 10-11 psi of boost on the stock turbos, they are just begging for more. I wouldn't be surprised if 600awhp on the stock twins is possible as well as some solid 10 second ET's in BPU form.

Heres its stock numbers on a dyna pack

lmao, I wish, I could but it would take me some time. I hope the person who did it submits it to Nissan for the commercial. Its baddass. Although I'm not sure if Americans would understand the reason for Godzilla....

This JUST in! Motor Trend just lapped a 7:35 around the 'Ring. Making this the 5th fastest production car around the 'Ring EVER!

http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i189/Flovian/Parties%20and%20Friends/Trucks%20and%20Cars/GT-Rmotortrend.jpg

All those skeptics of Nissans claimed 7:37 hah! She goes faster. I cant even imagine the times the V-Spec will run.. lighter and more powerful.... mmhm..

Um, Godzilla is Japanese. As is the car. Not too hard to figure out. However, I find it amazing Godzilla learned how to bowl. I guess that's his new hobby since walking in and out of the ocean to destroy Tokyo has grown tiresome over the last 50 years or so..

Looking over those assembley line pics reminded me of two things:

My days at GM... and that song "Mr. Roboto" by the group Styx.

Exactly, see Rick its not so easy.

Godzilla is a nick name for the GT-R and the rb26, since it was such a monster in Japan.

Come to think of it, I think I've heard that before too. That's gay. But I guess they would be consider a monster when 90% of the population drives around shit like this:

Lol they dont compare it to that. And in reality it depends on what part of the country you are in. Its not like 90% of the Americans who drive rock fast sports cars.... Its the same over there.
