Supposedly there's an '87 GNX in it, so I'm going to see it just because of that.

Might be a bad Idea, most likely the will ruin it : ie. gay it out, wreck it... so on...

Probably. But if they wreck it, it won't be a real GNX anyway. I've been waiting for a TR to be on the big screen since the 80s. The only time there was, it was some Steven Segul movie from '87 and the bad guys just drove around in an '87 Grand National, didn't do anything with it.

probably a good thing anyways, i heard horror stories about peoples cars being abused and brought back with blown clutches, ect ect. Some guy said he was supposed to get so much per day and got paid in the end for everything that came out to be less than what they said they'd pay for 1 day. I also heard if your car is one of the "hero" cars then have a contract obligation to take your car off you at any time for use during promos.

That doesn't make any sense. In all of the previous movies they would buy like 5 or so of each car and use them for different scenes of the movie.

Just like extras in a movie then need alot of cars actually. One of the guys in my car club/team was in 2F2F with his car (the part where they show guys showing off their trunks, then they move to my friend eddie and his amps open up motorized.....this all happens before the first big race)

Anyways, they are real peoples cars and you get called for casting just like a real movie. I didnt get accpected to the first casting, invitation only and is this weekend (I cant have my car in Cali by this weekend haha). But universal has my portfolio, i will be shipping my car if i get a call haha

But in the scene from the 1st one when they were all along the strip before the infamous 4 car race, I watched the commentary on it and they said those were all of the actual owners of the cars. (ie, the low rider Del Sol and so forth) So why can't they just do that again?

The director also said Ja Rule wasn't even supposed to be in it, but just showed up on the set of the first day of filming, so they wrote in an extra small role character, just for him so he would go away, lol.
