Unintended Acceleration My Ass

Postby AdamMagana » Tue Jan 26, 2010 7:57 pm

News from Autoblog. Apparently Toyota is halting the sales of some of their models due to spontaneous acceleration. I consider that a feature worth keeping. Kudos to the engineer that made it all possible.

UPDATE: Apparently Toyota has a solution. Just what I need to piss me off: less people dying in fast, fiery deaths.

Starting the "Auto News" section off right!

I wonder if they are going to do some massive recall because of this, seems like kind of a big deal hah. The thought of some old lady flying down the highway with the throttle stuck open makes me lol hah

BC flyby wire is now cheaper and easier to install than a standard cable. Gotta love technology as much as hate it sometimes.

This is almost as funny as the EVO throttle pedals completely breaking off when pressed too hard

It said 2.3 million vehicles were recalled last month. Pretty crazy.
