*I am not responsible for damage to you or your car or oven. Attempt this mod at your own risk! I am also not responsible for a voided warranty.*

What you need:
1 Ebay TMIC Intercooler(with Y pipe if you got it that way)
10mm Socket
12mm Socket
Flathead Screwdriver a long one

If you are making a Y pipe
Silicon Y-pipe (samco or perrin)(40 dollar used hook up)
3" of 2" exhaust pipe(freebie muffler shop)(confirm 2" diameter anyone)
Two pipe clams(freebie)

Alright well to start off I didn't end up keeping this intercooler on my car for one it rubbed on the hood, and my RFL BOV also rubbed on the hood. This intercooler would work if you beat on the back section of your hood a little with a mallot, and were using a different style of BOV. But for the 150 bucks that I spent on the core it is very well made just wrong mount locations:shocked: you would think they would be able to get that right.

Here we go first you need to take of the stock intercooler.

There are two bolts on each side of the intercooler that hold it to the mounts on the enigne. You must remove those. They are 12mm if memory serves me correctly.

Here is the first bolt:

Second Bolt:

Now that you have those two bolts out you have to take off the bar that goes across the front of the intercooler there are 3 10mm bolts that hold it on. Also loosen the Y-Pipe that goes into the turbo you can see it circled in the picture:

Now loosen the coupler that connects the TMIC to the throttle body:

Once you have all that done the intercooler will come off this takes a bit of muscle to accomplish though you must move it left and right and up and down to wiggle it off.

Once you have it off if your new intercooler came with the Y Pipe just pop the new intercooler on by reversing the steps above.

Now you have to take the stock Y-Pipe off the car there are a 4 bolts that hold it on. Also disconnect the hose clams to get the casted elbows off.

Image

Now what you do is hack the Y-Pipe in half but you have to leave enough material to get two hose clamps on it. Once you cut in half put your piece of exhaust pipe in there and clamp those hose clamps down tight.

Now connect the Y-Pipe to the casted elbows and put them on the new intercooler.

It will look like this when you are done:

Image

You can now put the intercooler back into the car. Repeat the steps above only in reverse. The problem with my intercooler was the passenger side tab didn't line up with my bracket so I made my own:

What it looks like in the car a very tight squeeze:

And a stock to after-market comparison:

For the money I trust eBay most intercoolers. I ran one originally and the one I plan to run both are ebay's. We will see how she olds when the boost is cranked. However supra guys run 40-45 psi through the same unit I bought with no issues.
