A honda V8?! LS1's pshhh...

This is a bit old, but since this talk of big motors came about and all this power stuff posted below by our local 9s stang...

http://www.mugen-power.com/topics/legendmax0501/

4.0L v8 n/a
590hp at 9500rpm
384 tq at 7500 rpm.

Redline is 10 grand. I'd make love to that v8 and place it in my nissan.

That thing is pretty crazy. I'm sure it made 590 NA HP but what is the compression ratio? What is the octane needed to run it. The tq numbers are a little screwy but ah cool either way.

Of course I could bring up the Audi F1 40v 3.8 making 620 NA HP and just under 500 tq.

Or the Oldsmobile 32v 4.0 Indy car engine. Made over 700 NA HP and 444 tq....I know since these are in specialty cars it will come up they don't apply. A guy by the name of Carol Shelby built a set of 10 Cobra Series Ones...instead of the supercharged versions costing in the low 120's these ten were all 148k a peice. Their 4.0 Olds engine just like the one in the Indy car was derived from the factory car the Aurora. This run Shelby did had a very similar intake like the Mugan with tuned stack singles. It made 598 NA HP and 408 tq.

There are dozens of other engines out there but that was the only one publicly availible and again....That thing is crazy...I'd drive one. Wonder what the price was on them? Or was it a work in study of what they could do?

yeah well the torque curve most likely has something to do with the cams in the motor, also the only 4 liters of displacement and the ridiculous redline is what makes the numbers look weird. If it stopped reving at 6-7k like a normal v-8 the numbers would be about even. This is not the case.

The interior is too plain.

It looks like an Austrailian Ford Falcon in the front and an Audi/BMW in the rear.

The exhaust tips look like it came straight off of the '02 Silverado SS concept, the fender vents are a direct rip off of the Bimmer 3 series and the Holden/Vauxhall Commodore/Pontiac G8.

The tailights look kinda like a cross between the 2nd gen Olds Aurora and a '00 Acura RL.

The wheels suck.

It's rubbish.

Way to go Honduh!

Good thing I was referring to the motor instead of the car.... That car is an RL...... Just has a name change.
