Awe you dont want the beefy r33 rear end and half shafts?!

LS2 has crossed my mind also. I'm gonna take a few trips road racing this summer, hopefully find out what I truely want to do with the car.

I'm not sure if crazy straight line speed does it for me....

Naw 400 might be pushing it, more like low 300's to mid would be more ideal. I've got learning to do before I start making decently large power and decent to turn in.

Your about right, I wouldn't have to spend to much if I parted a lot of the shit out.

LS-whatever in your car would give me wood. A GTO motor at 350whp would be ideal. It felt strong last summer doing the baby pulls!

Shearer also offers a complete LSx single turbo package, hint hint wink wink.

HAPPY BDAY TOO!
96 GST - Formerly 721whp :(

Back to 300whp stock-ish setup.

03 Blk/Blk Z06 - Project 500whp/500wtq - See you in Spring 2009.

There is no point in a LS1 swap if he wants a mid 300 car. Only advantage I see is low end torque.

Thanks Tony.

Exactly why I was considering the ls2. Basically bolt it in stock and thats all I'd have to do. 350whp in a 240 yeilds mid teen traps. So the car would still be fun. I know its not your 125 goal lol, but it would still satisfy me.

Low end torque is my whole reason for considering a larger displacement motor. Not having to downshift and having a very large usable linear power band is something I'd like in roadracing. I also like the point of being able to keep the engine very simple for reliability reasons, and I would address oil cooling, along with water cooling.

This all still up in the air, I love the RB, I love that its different, I love that it screams, I love how smooth the engine runs and how it sounds absolutely wicked IMO. However its a costly little fucker to mod big.
