Lol Tom, and thank sweet baby Jesus there is someone else on here who isn't a fucking idiot.

If it wasn't for Pontiac Chris's return I swear to god I'd never fucking post here again!!! ::sniffle:: You guys are such dicks!!! ::sob:: I fucking hate you so bad!!! ::wipes tear from face::

oh and whoever said why not wait on Dave to make improvements, it's because many of the people talking here don't consider themselves in Daves "club" (myself included) and this message board doesn't even say Crux on it anymore. Not to mention DNA was pretty shitty last year so I think there's a lack of faith anyway. I mean for Christ's sake Drew is trying to take the fucking thing over.

This shit really discourages me. I'd like to see DNA happen again. It kinda died real quick though last year. It's cool that drew is trying to get something going I guess, but Dave and Aaron weren't really around enough to keep it going strong.

And I don't think Crux is a "club" anymore. I think it's just Dave slinging parts really, and he doesn't seem too interested in changing that.

lmfao.

i'm sure there will be a lot going on this year. dna or not. ive already seen the truckers gathering everywhere climbing snow piles and taking over parking lots. ive noticed an increase in bikes last year, so this year should be poppin with that. super nats are coming back to canfield/boardman so tons of the older crowd and muscle cars will be around. evil ws6 (gary?) or w/e his name is said this place isnt like miami or cali and there's no scene. thats true. however, youngstown, niles, boardman, struthers, austintown, canfield, liberty, north jackson, poland and what not makes up for about around 500,000 people. there's tons of cars around here. shit last year ive seen multiple sports cars like ferrari's, audi r8's, bmw m3's m4's, porsche's, etc. i just dont think everyone likes to sit in a parking lot all night. and the ones that do, just like evil said, you'll just see the same cars over and over and it gets old.

IF you have no real job or experience then you have ZERO room to knock income. Period. You have no right to talk about money to belittle someone; nor cars.

I try to be the bigger man about alot of shit on here; but this noise needs to stop. You can only bite your tongue to avoid pissing off people for so long.

As for DNA. It was never Dave. It was Aaron and I give props to the kid for trying to create something cool. HE is actually off accomplishing his goals and dreams and although it's unfortunate he's likely not to have time to cater to what seems to be a group of literally children. DNA is never going to take off without alot of pamphleting but also car selection. It's good to try and be nice to everyone and inviting everyone with some pos car out; but people with nice shit don't want to be associated with that crap at all. They want to be around other nice shit as to not look like a joke; and obviously be with people of similar intellect as you can clearly see this isn't happening here.

Dave will go sell parts, I think that's why he even started which is a 'smart' move to get kids in a club associated with you....but when I can buy stuff alot cheaper retail and not off of facebook, lol well you get the idea.

Drew, I just don't like seeing my friends belittled when then have no right to be. Cory spent alot of time and money and skill, as did Bill, as did I. People can be 'cocky' at times but take it for what it is and know your place. There are places and forums I can go to and be the chumpest chump out there. If someone is calling something lame and I know it is; I'm not going to speak up because they have been there and done that. I guess I have grey hairs now as Im 27 today; but it is important to try and respect your elders, and don't speak of ill when you can't back it up.

You guys talk like Tom and Bill are some old ass guys, their only a few years older than me. Both of them have good jobs IMO, but they have bills to pay besides dumping all their cash into their cars.

Laser and Drew you both crossed the line a bit calling them “middle” class, that’s a pretty ignorant statement. 50 grand a year is a decent coin in this area, especially when you’re single. You talk like your going to be some 6 figure fat cat here pretty soon. Judging by your typing and grammar laser you better have a good singing voice or know how to rap because I don’t see that happening.

I don’t know either of you on a personal level; I don’t know what you do or even how old you are. There were no issues in this thread till Drew said something to me and Tom about taking our summer car talk elsewhere in a thread that never specified it was about DnA.

I think what Tom is getting at, maybe Bill as well is so many of you guys have really no idea what goes into building a car yourself. I give just about anyone respect that can create something they put together, with their hard earned money, and valuable time/effort.

I myself get annoyed from time to time when people attempt to poke fun about my car being broke, when they have never even came close to doing something remotely similar and have no grasp or understanding what it actually takes. Even more so with an engine that is extremely rare/expensive and compared to other builds is few and far in-between. Its just ignorance, at times I feel its semi jealousy, but it’s not cool. Its one reason I don’t share what’s going on with my car to really anyone. I simply just don’t want to hear the blah blah blah that goes along with it.

I think you're just mad because you tried to add me on facebook and I denied that shit.

So what are your accomplishments? Or better yet what kinda car are you rockin these days? I see your sig is still a car that you couldn't even change a power steering belt on and sold like forever ago. Thats pretty cool.

Very well said Cory. I've probably done more work in the past couple days removing my pilot bearing than lazerface has in his entire life. Right now I'm doing a clutch install/ceramic coating headers/nitrous install. You think I'm going to post a build thread on here? Fuck no, most everone on here is a bunch of haters who wouldn't give a shit or understand. I mean look how big of an ordeal it was just having chicken fucker/andy go to the track last year and realize what it takes to make a decent pass.

Drew can't even drive stick and his ECU in his cavalier is held in with a bunch of giant eagle bags, zip ties and tape. LOLWUT!!

My name is Rick, Gary is SVT THIS.

For reference, cities like LA and NYC have over 4 million people living in them. So again, if you were to add up everyone in this area you still wouldn't be close. On top of that, most of those guys that own those Ferrari's and BMW's don't spend their time hanging out on parking lots on Saturday night with a bunch of teenyboppers and twenty-somethings.

I myself stopped in once with my Buick last summer and lost interest after 5 minutes.

Why don't you kids stop bickering like little girls, pull your hot-rod eco-boxes out of the garage. It's finally warming up.

You get used to the size difference in a hurry. When I went from 1g DSM to 4th gen Fbody it was a little akward at first getting used to how much more car was there; but after awhile it felt small again and you could put the car anywhere so to speak. Actually made me feel like i was going to die when I got into another DSM after that...felt so unsafe

Comparing a base cts to a cts-v is like comparing a 323i to an M3. All they share is the basis body and platform. Everything mechanical is completely different. I never even so much as sat in a base cts, but the ride in the v is comfortable, yet firm, if that makes sense. It's not your Grandparents Seville that's for sure. If you're looking for a car to modify, don't bother with a base model. They're good cars, well made, expensive to insure on a v and it's the first REAL Caddy with a manual in about 6 or 7 decades. All 1st Gen V's have a 6 speed manual, the base had an available 5 speed.

And despite what Clarkson said, they're not that big, about the size of a Grand Prix.

A few things I didnt like about the V was the second gear random/occasional lock out... and VERY touchy brakes takes some getting used to.

It's called skip-shift. It's supposed to help fuel economy and protect it from people like us breaking it. All GM cars with t-56's have it. You can eliminate it with tuning or a
$30 gizmo called a skip-shift eliminator from Summit or SLP. And yes, those Brembos bite hard!
