well nick another reason people cruise through boardman more than austintown is because there is barely anything in atown. i think the show should stay where its at. run it from like 5-7 then cruise out to niles through boardman, austintown, mineral ridge, etc and have a place set up out there for a couple hours.

not nearly as many people. more people go past dna in an hour then there is on all of mahoning avenue in 3 hours. i think its just a matter of actually advertising it. last year it was just set up and people were expected to come. like alot of you said, the first week was good but then it died down. advertising in the paper wouldnt be a bad idea or just putting up flyers in shop windows at vavoline, goodrich, etc. wedgewood in austintown wouldnt be a bad idea though. on a friday/saturday night, alot of people are in that area for games at the schools down the street, all the pizza places, bowling alley, etc. and its not as far for you north jackson guys and only a 10-20 minute ride for anyone in boardman/canfield/liberty. just my opinion

Don't feel like starting over and it'd be impossible to find a clean vibrant red vert to swap into.

If I did ever do another mustang, I'd buy a vert terminator.

I thought you were like never coming back and shit?

Does this mean chicken fucker is on his way back???

Who cares if a bunch of people drive past the car meet? I'd much rather see it in a parking lot/area that doesn't call the cops for noise or turn the lights off. Its not like anybody came to the last one and was like "I saw everyone in here and decided to stop in." Most people would not do that anyway, especially if theres no signs or anything letting people know its open to everyone. All that ever drives past NTB is a bunch of soccer moms and shit. Not to mention if random people did roll in they would either get snubbed or made fun of. Id rather have the thing on salt springs and or division st, not that any of you bitches would race anyway.

That's what I was hinting towards... if your looking at C5's I mean a terminator isn't far off price wise.

ppl still actually head down to D-street? Arn't they a lot stricter now there? lol

Are you trying to say you have actually done something for DNA by posting twice on a message board?

And I like how all you boardman fags get all "grow up dude your like all old and stuff", don't be mad at me because daddy didn't buy you the car you wanted. Graduating from college and landing a job as an engineer in the worst economy in 20 years and making 50k+ is plenty grown up for me, I'll talk all the shit I want.

Plus I'm 26 you emo ice hating can't drive stick sensitive ricer fag.

To try to get back on topic, someone brought up chili's which is a great spot. i might actually be able to hook that up because i know the manager. I ll have to talk to him to see what he says, like was said previously, there might be some issues with the muscle car guys in the past. I do remember him telling me that they ran into issues with the mall cops for one reason or another. Ill see whats up.
Err please stop fueling my silent rage..

Yea, I think that place would be cool, it's always very well lit so that would help too. Tonight a bunch of cars were coming out of the mall by chilis along with 2 state troopers down there, not sure what was going on haha.

As for the division street thing, I personally wouldn't go there just b/c like was said they have (or had) it locked down since the accident there a few years back. I think the police would be all over that place once they caught wind of an organized event being there haha. Im guessing you weren't being very serious about it though anyways from your other comment.

Earlier this week I posted the idea of putting up flyers around the autopart stores and whatnot to advertise it, similar to what chris said, but I deleted it. I think if we put them up in late April, a few weeks before the meet even starts, it might help to get the word out about it again instead of just mass texting the week of. I made one when I was bored just for an idea. I'll post that here in a little while.

Drew I do believe your thread title is "Anything in the works for this summer?" I didnt read your first post but the title reads as in "hey guys whats goin on with you/anything else this summer car wise?" Not "where can we find a parking lot to circle jerk in"

What does age have to do with anything regarding cars? Its a common hobby shared by little boys and elderly dieing men. Personally I'm excited for when I'm a bit older and able to afford more expensive things.. cars fall into that category.

Not that I have anything worth racing at the moment but I wouldn't even bother with D-street due to its stigma it now holds IMO anyways.

As for a location I don't know, doesn't matter. Our scene is lacking most things worth going out for anyways.

First off, isn't this Dave's club, shouldn't he be the one worried about making improvements?

Secondly, there really isn't that much of a car scene in this area to justify two big car shows on the same night, much less within a mile of each other. Nor are there even remotely enough import/tuner/ricers around here to justify an import themed show in the 1st place, at least nowhere near enough to where you would see something different every weekend. This isn't LA, Miami or NYC. It's Youngstown, just doesn't have the population of die-hard gearheads those cities do.

Why don't you guys just go to the real car shows like all of the grown ups do? You could even park together in your own area if you want, keep the riff-raff out and you won't have any problems. Besides, they'll usually let you hang out there after hours anyway. Problem solved.

Um 50k+ yr around here is GOOD money. Theres no heirarchy here and there isn't any respect.

Education + well paying job + paid for/fast/nice toys > high school, no bills, no education, and none to busted ass cavaliers.

Who does get to talk shit? Middleschoolers with 10speeds? Get over yourself.

As stated re-read your freakin title...I don't see DNA in it nor do I give a fuck if you don't like MY plans that I can discuss with other people who have actually done something relevant in thier lives. Its a fucking shitty dead message board where you have to tip toe around the crybabies who get butthurt on the world.

I can't believe you and fucknuts who starts crying when you tell him he doesnt know dick even have the nerve to knock someone who's really made an effort in life and knocked down a real good paying job.

You couldnt keep a fucking DSM on the road nor obviously pay anyone to fix it and you even THINK about putting down a person who did everything themself and accomplished something. The only things you've ever done were talk shit with a car you didnt build nor understand. You agree with with a kid who has no right to even speak up....brilliant.

Why don't you go fucking pound sand drew. Insignificant fucking shit talker. Was it you crying when we told you that the WRX idea was stupid.....the WRX you clearly aren't affording. Maybe you can knock your dad for making less than 50k a year, since he's all helping you try to 'fit in' with the awesome import crowd here. Maybe you'd have better luck on Youngstown Racing

Go fucking preach your club. I'm sure someone is going to drive from out of town to hard park next to a shitty cavalier and a bunch of highschool kids who don't know dick or when to shutup.

Feel my e-wrath  Lol faggot :o

tom.. i dont see why you are flipping shit like this on me.. i have never said you know nothing.. to me iv always seen you as one of the more intelligent ones of the group..and kinda looked up to you .... and i dont recall anyone saying the wrx idea was dumb really..noah said something about wrx's not beeing the best platform to start with or something like that which blew my mind hearing it come from someone building a fucking wrx so that got me kinda fired up... also noah talking shit on gc8 2.5 rs wich i dident plan on doing shit to engine wise and i jokingly said my target was to beat brett and you took me seriously obviously.. i have never built my cavalier up to be anything more than a stock cavalier because i know its nothing at all...

i really dont like beeing called a shit talker when im probably the one that does the least shit talking on these forums.. iv always been the one trying to keep things together.. im hopeing your just mixing me up with someone else on here

Most likely sit, because the thousands of dollars it will take to get it back to where I want it (can be done cheaper, but nty) might not be there for it.
