Should I?

Well maybe the new Genesis has made me addicted to boost, but now I'm thinking I should turbo my SX4. Yes, I own an 08' Suzuki SX4, red, manual. :stfusign: I honestly love this car and don't care what anyone says about it. I bought it because I needed a winter car and it was cheap, AWD, and pretty fun to drive. So far I have put in an HID kit, LEDs, painted the calipers, and installed a Road///Race rear sway bar. Next is getting it tinted. Road///Race makes quite a few parts for the SX4. My plan was to continue to add small stuff to it but I'm thinking now I should just forget the rest and turbo it. The kit is $4500 which seems steep but it comes with everything you need and has been heavily road tested. http://www.roadracemotorsports.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=31_33&products_id=345 The question is, should I?

well ur gonna spend 4500+labor+tuning for 220 hp?? seems like a waste to me. and idk how reliable that eng will be pushing that hp, honestly i would keep it just how it is... bone stock=awesome daily driver.

Gawd turbo kits are ridiculously priced. You could probably get crafty and piece things together yourself and boost that thing for 1500-2000 and make more power than a kit. I agree with the above though, keep that thing clean with a warranty and put the money into your Genesis.

x3 last thing you need is problems with your daily, 4500 bucks will get u way way way more out of the genesis anyway

220whp. I would do the install with friends' help. RR has driven their test cars a lot and I think at the boost level they're at, it's pretty safe.

Thanks. I think they look great lowered+tinted. Honestly, when I was looking for cars I stopped at the dealer on a whim to look at these and was like "meh" about the looks, but honestly, it has really grown on me. They're honestly cool little cars. Like an AWD Mini. I bought this car because I wanted something totally practical (hatch) yet still somewhat fun to drive (AWD for winter fun too!). Honestly, I've gotten a lot of hate from "car people" (brand snobs) for buying this car.

LOL thanks, make me feel like I'm asking about dumping money into a Pontiac Gran Am or something. Sorry Chris, had to!

Anyways, I think you guys kicked some sense into me. I think putting a turbo in would automatically void my warranty on the engine. Not worth it. I'll continue to get small parts from RR like their piggyback ECU, lowering springs, CAI, and underdrive pulley. These would have less chance of voiding my warranty completely and are easily removable.

eh im puttin money into my car (not performance wise) because its my car and i dont give a fuck what any of you think about it. grand am or ferrari. going past the speed limit only gets people in trouble. so pretty much having a car that goes 70+ is worthless unless your on a race track.
