Perhaps Subaru's share hardware with Mitsubishi then

I'm not sure if I've ever done the rear brakes on a DSM without at least having one slide pin seize or snap off, or just breaking ANYTHING. Ever remove the bumper covers? Fastest way to do it is to just snap the head off of every bolt, and vice grip them out and retap all of them. Faster and less frustrating than trying to losten each one, and having them snap halfway out anyhow. :?

One thing I can say about domestics.....I've never broken anything trying to remove it. Either us or the mexicans seem to make decent grade hardware lol.....wherever it is made. :?
It whistles while it WORKS.

I suck.

Interesting Tom, yeah I dont know what processes some of these companies like Subaru go through with their hardware but it fucking blows if the car has miles or a few years on it.. Breaking bolts, struggling with hardware absolutely kills time it takes to fix shit, I cannot stand it.

I like bustin a nut then fingering it off personally.

Say what? 240's seem to rust like the dickens...underneath where it counts. You should have taken a gander under my old red 240. Rust holes in that muh fugger so big everytime I hit a puddle my carpet would get wet. 25% of the bolts would break off or sieze even doing to most routine procedure. Not to mention the rear sway bar, and exhaust hangers ripping off towards the end. That thing was a nightmare. I don't know how S14's do, but the remaining S13's shalt be garage kept.

I had issue with body rust on my first 240, but the hardware I never had an issue with. My second one (the RB) was from NC its pretty damn clean underneith, and the bolts come off like a charm.

Mark, don't buy the supposed 'generic' por-15. They sell it at Tom's Automotive and it's called Chassis Saver.

They had a sample there and it was supposed to work the same. It looks the same, and comes off your hands just as hard, but it doesn't hold up nearly as well.

That and I hit it with brake cleaner once and it fucking dissolved it!!! I had this runny gummy mess dripping off the bottom of my car...its worthless.

Haha, I had some generic shit on my red 240 that I put on when I was like 17. I'm pretty sure they mixed up the cans in production and gave me a batch of the gummy rust promoter/metal eater...
