Well i have been kicking around the thought of a 378 stroker out of a 351 windsor. the Question is how will all my guages work if it is carburated. Brian what was done in order for all your guages to work.

If your carbing a newer car u can manually run the wires for volts/water temp/oilpressure/rpms only thing that won't ever work in your dash is the speedo since thats run off a censor from the transmission read by the ecu in the car. Best way for me to explain it is by carbing your car the ecu won't even realize the car is running.

I personally just bought gauges cause a little needle with no numbers doesn't do me much good for water temp/oil pressure. Ford makes a nice little dash pod replacement and two gauges sit nicely in the corners.

I'm building a stroker motor for my car this winter as well, though i'm going back to fuel injection cause i'm turboing it as well.

Imo just get a piggyback (or if you wanna go through the effort, a standalone). A 351 block will bolt right up to a 5.0 k-member and u'll be able to use all the fuel equipment from your 5.0, u'll just need bigger injectors. Much easier to tune a car when u can just hook it up to a computer and get all the readouts :)
