So he tried to jump and failed then....so? He still went. What do you think a stickshift car with gears is going to do vs. an auto that is waiting to do something? If there was so much discrepency then just race again. There's nothing more to say other than you got butthurt.

I wanted to go home dude, I was out all day. I didn't feel like spending another half hour out when I STILL had other stuff to do after the race. Tom took off before the third honk, but I floored it right when I hear his RPM's go up, IDK if I even got a third beep off honestly. Tom got ahead and I didn't see him put any more distance on between around 80-110, and I let out way before you guys did. Not like it's a big deal, I knew I was going to lose, which is why I wondered why this race was even going down in the first place?

there was for sure a third beep, you can hear it in the video. a half second after tom hit it, which is what i said. ill post up the video and we can see what happened between 80-110. and tom let off right after you, another thing you can see from the video.

Well I don't know shit about LS1's , but I'll try my best to explain..

I'll make this short and simple. The older LS1 have a different form of throttle control. My old V6 had it as well. The NEWER LS1 will kick the pedal back at you when you start to slip, instead of the old form where it would actually reduce the engines power. Judging by this AND the piston slap, I'm guessing Scott's was a 98 or 99?

In case you didn't know, the shift lever is not directly attached to anything in the transmission. When you click up to second gear, the COMPUTER shifts it to second.. why not just leave it in drive? So it doesn't down shift? I'll deal with it not down shifting before I try and out shift my computer.

What went down tonight is a couple of 20-something year olds started a race for the purpose of creating some drama. Sad, but true.

well he's right. if you manualy shift an auto from 1 to 2 to drive it takes longer to shift. among other reasons why you shouldnt do that. my tcs kicks my foot off the petal so mine must be special too.....

Well I don't know shit about LS1's , but I'll try my best to explain..

I'll make this short and simple. The older LS1 have a different form of throttle control. My old V6 had it as well. The NEWER LS1 will kick the pedal back at you when you start to slip, instead of the old form where it would actually reduce the engines power. Judging by this AND the piston slap, I'm guessing Scott's was a 98 or 99?

In case you didn't know, the shift lever is not directly attached to anything in the transmission. When you click up to second gear, the COMPUTER shifts it to second.. why not just leave it in drive? So it doesn't down shift? I'll deal with it not down shifting before I try and out shift my computer.

What went down tonight is a couple of 20-something year olds started a race for the purpose of creating some drama. Sad, but true.

ill say it again, we wanted you to race because it SHOULD have been a really good race, too bad you drive as bad as brett. in a freakin auto no less. its amazing how clueless you are to how bad you both are at driving. its really funny watching you squirm when someone asks to race from a dig, you get all nervous and try to break out your predetermined excuses as to why its no good. wont stop on 680, wont drive 10 min away, blah blah blah. give me your keys and let me race tom from a dig, or a roll for that matter, and watch how different the outcome is. im not saying i would beat him but i would have put up a way better effort than you.

you can make up all the excuses you want about your pedal kicking your foot off, and your transmission taking longer to shift because your moving the shifter yourself or whatever other bullshit you can come up with. the reality is you cant even get your own car to take off when youre the one honking the fucking horn. its not like you had to react to someone else honking. youre telling me its impossible to get an automatic camaro to leave hard from a roll? it just cant be done?? does this stupid shit even make sense in your head when you think it??

you have an automatic car with traction control, and you cant get it to leave even decent from a dig???? srsly think about that. thats really really sad that you are too stupid to figure that out. and me and tom have both offered several times to show you how much of an advantage you would have running from a dig, but i forgot you know all there is to know about ls1's.
