There were a handful of worked FD's when I went to school in Detroit. They seemed to respond really well to mods, and were pretty neat cars. However the exhaust note is flat as hell and does nothing for me at all

Here is my old Tuners 20b. It was N/A, dry sump, getting ready for ITB's and a few other items. He was looking for 400rwhp.. but unfortunately the car was involved in an accident over summer 08. Hes rebuilding it right now.

When I rode in it he was taking it to 9grand, after it was broken in (was only 500-1000 miles away at the time) would be taking it to 10 grand. It had ceramic seals and I asked him how long it would last, he chuckled and said this might sound crazy but "500K miles" if maintained. Him and my buddy Peter know their shit about rotaries, they are neat little engines. He had a 13b block sitting on his desk, Its honestly the size of a small milk crate.

It idles like a 427, screams like an F1/Giant electric motor while WOT. It made me laugh/smile the whole time I was in it and I loved it.

It almost had me convinced to drop the RB and build an n/a 3 rotor... I shit you not.

my rx7 had the 13b in it, i used to take that thing to like 8500 everyday and it was bone stock with like 130k on it and never had any problems... it just took forever to get there lol.. it had a straight exhaust on it no muffler or anything and it sounded magnificant

I mean, that's awesome, especially for the size of the engine. But that had dick for tq and sounded like a weedwacker crossed with a dustbuster.

I do like how two strokish they sound at idle though.

I know it's not literal, but it's such a flat tone. Has no soul. I feel the same way with DSMs.

I could agree with a 13b more on that. However the 20b no WAY its unlike anything I've ever heard it my life.

you know you can basicly make a 13b into a 2 stroke? my one buddy had a first gen and he knew someone that did it.

They make tiny single wankels for RC airplanes.

saw this sick ride at wal mart in austintown tonight. dumped on chrome 3 bars. it was also sitting crooked. must of cut the springs uneven. lol.

I have a really odd fondness for the late model probe. Perhaps because it was my first car (don't get your hopes up: SE 4cyl auto.....I got denied the mullet 'maro I wanted ); but I think they look like baby C5s in the nose, had a nice interior and were pretty smartly designed. The GT cars were just cool, albeit slow and had their share of issues. That and mazda parts were $$$$$$. Wouldn't mind the KLZE swap, boosted or not. Great exhaust note too!

That said, the tribar mess would make a sick beater
