Stangs...

Local Mustang people

Postby RSbeast » Mon Mar 30, 2009 1:07 pm

So is anyone else almost ready to start the season? Got everything done?

Currently I'm just a few hrs away from scheduling my dyno time once this weather finally breaks. Still need a few things before I actively hit the track though. I got all my additional fuel stuff done, just need a few small items to finish my revised PCV system with the blower, need to cut the hole in my inner fender, so I can finish my full 90mm intake system, fix a small leak on my oil return bung and swap my rack bushings out.

Still need to have my driveshaft repaired and some subframes for the track....ntm slicks...arghh...$$$$$

Going fast consistantly and reliably = too much dinero :? 8)

Anyone else got any crazy plans?

I've been seeing more and more new stangs out so far this year! You guys better hold your own.

A local termy-snake I know of is getting done up BPU style, its looking badass so far. I'm sure you might see it around in a few weeks here.

I loved beating the newer ones when they really started coming out in '07. Most everyone thinks the 99-04 GT's are slow, but its really just the drivers that dont know how to race with a manual tranny. I went with an automatic to eliminate that risk and dont regret it one bit. They'd all be asking what was done to my car. I felt bad for the guy that brought his brand new GT500 to QCR one night. He couldnt even drive it into the 13's,ha.

I still wish I had an '04 Cobra though :(

from what i hear Jim bought a whipple for his (navy 03 cobra), that should be interesting to see

Didn't really do anything to mine this season, tore her apart, made sure everything was functioning properly, cleaned it up (painted/powder coated), bought some new rims/dr's and its time to track the shit out of it this season :)

My fun will be next year if all goes well.

As for my ride, dave came over and helped me slam everything back in it. Just gotta tie up the odds and ends over the next few days and she'll be back on the road

That fucker should be SCARY.

Yeah, that'd be Ryan's DSG car. I wiped the floor with it when it was stock in my GST

Man I miss that car :( ran soooooooooooo good with under $200 in mods.

Ya Ive used your street as a cut-through ever since I started driving. But flying down it fishtailing? Thats a negative. I dont drive like an ass or speed much, especially in residential areas. And thats why I have a perfect driving record

theres 3 other dark shadow gray mustangs like mine in the area. definetly wasnt me. I got pulled over one time by a boardman cop cause my car matched the description of a vehicle that was reported speeding through the giant eagle parking lot. I told the officer "ya know there's more than one gray car out on the road here" he told me to slow it down and left. and I was doing 35 in a 40 when he saw me and pursued me, douchebag

You hear the sweet wistley noise? :P No, in all serious it was just drivable at best, couldn't romp on it at all. I'd wanted to pull in but I had to get to my grandmas for mothers day night. I was already running way late cause we ate at quaker.

On a side note I met steve-o tonite getting his car tuned on the dyno for his nitrous. Mine will either be really fast or really broken when I pick it back up :pat:

those nitrous runs sucked, prolly cuz the bottle was cold. only 40extra torque from a 75shot wtf. and i was right about my custom tunes making the car slower, that was the reason why terry had me bring the car in. It feels faster now. Definetly time for some forced induction
